To win the title you need momentum in the run in we havent had that where as Liverpool has .if Liverpool do win it ,it woiud be a fantatic achievment because any team that can go on a run like they have done quite honestly deserves it .having said that it not over till the fat lady sings ,so ge tyour fingers out City & show the world what we are made of

We need to be totally focused on securing top 3 now.

Arsenal are one point behind us, Everton two (if they win)

I know we have two games on them but Everton still have to play us. We cannot afford another home slip up.

Monday is a must win game and not just from a slim chance of the title point of view.

If the unthinkable happened and we lose on Monday then we could be in serious trouble.

Without Yaya and silva and against a west Brom side that can score goals, it might not be as straightforward as some think.

I agree entirely.

Liverpool barring a miracle are champions.

I would now settle for top 3 because missing out on Champs League would be awful to our future prospects.

tbh mate im shocked you would chuck the towel in at this stage and settle for 3rd, liverpool are scraping wins together and i can see them getting beat by either chelsea or palace, were not firing on all four but form can come back in an instant, chucking the towel in mate is madness very negative

Re: Title still possible

We should always look ahead of ourselves and not backwards.

it's always all about the next game! Lets see what Monday brings. Half of the 'miracle' has happened and it's happened before the dippers v chavs game which no one thought would happen.

After losing to arsenal in 2012 no one really thought we'd win but a good result at home to WBA and a rag loss to Wigan set us rolling. It's that time again. We fight to the end, with a sense of pessimism but that's when we pull through. Look at Sunderland, the chips were down and they were relegated but all of a sudden they've gotten 4pts away to top 3 teams and title contenders. Now is our time! Liverpool are being chased and they might be able to hold out against Norwich but i cant see the chavs losing 2 games on the bounce. I'm hoping for a draw but crazier things have happened...

It's time to take each game as it comes. Ignore everyone else, we just need to win the next game and the table will sort itself out.

Focus and bring home the 3pts gentlemen!

Ignore them. Come Monday, City fans will be right up for it.

We only need Liverpool to lose one game, or draw two.

Everton will absolutely arsehole us at Goodison.

I've watched them v Liverpool, Arsenal and Utd now and they really are a very very good and determined side.

If we had 3/4 of their determination and steel we'd have pissed this league by March.

Was that the game in January against Liverpool because it was over after about 10 minutes as their steely determination saw them grind out a 0-4 defeat? They showed similar grit last wednesday against Palace. Why can't posters have a bit more confidence in our team? A couple of unfavourable results and they (the posters on this site that is) go to pieces. It's no wonder that Liverpool are top of the league. You might hate them but their supporters have carried them there while our look like a sad reflection of them.

No. I'm referring to the other derby. 3-3 I think it was.

Re: Title still possible

what a load pussys on here, its time to dig in and fight not crawl under the nearest rock, get to the game on mon night and get behind the team, we will do our bit and jose will do his

Re: Title still possible

My mistake it is of course 4 points out of the last 9 points available.

If there was at least 6/7 games left then there would be a chance that Liverpool could wobble but sadly we are near the end of the season. Hopefully we can win comfortably tomorrow and that sets us up for a run to the end of the season.

However I just don't think Liverpool will slip up.

I dearly hope I am wrong.

So , on the grounds that they were able to force a draw with Liverpool , you feel that they will "arsehole" us? Oh ye of little faith. Shame on you.
