We had a chance second to none when we visited arsenal. Between now and then the players and management have pissed it all away. They needed to approach those games with their Dicks swinging so to speak, straining at the leash. Pellers will be given another year to atone. Whether he deserves it or not is another matter entirely.

Arsenal game was the biggest blow. Win there would give us a chance to slip and we'd play without much pressure at Anfield. It was more important game than anfield one for me for that reason.

Spot on! That would have given us the safety net which in turn would have left us playing with less pressure to boot. Once the title destiny left our own hands certain players belief followed.

very slim chance which will be made worse by jose mourinho fielding a weakened side on Sunday. we need to win ALL our games to have any kind of hope.

If they won they would be two points behind, I'm surprised they think they have a better chance of beating Athletico and Real or Bayern in the final, than Liverpool losing at Palace.

If they go through with this I hope they end up with nothing.

Even if they go through, they won't beat Real or Bayern.

But they'd play Champions League final and make 10 millions or so. That's like getting Salah on free.

And you never know, nobody thought they'd beat Bayern at Allianz last time, or they'd beat Barcelona but they did. Parking the bus like they did at Atletico could potentially win you any game, specially when you're good in doing it like they are.

They would be idiots to not prioritize Champions League now. PL title is all but gone for them now as they need 2 teams to slip, not just one.

Plus, it's not like their weakened team is Cardiff quality, they can still get a result even with weakened team so it's worth to try it, and keep their best players fresh for Atletico.

Does this mean they will also fork out paying a fine for fielding a weakened team?
It should come with a 6 points deduction. Might just tip them into CL playoff 4th place.

Cech , Terry , Ramieriez and, Hazard will be out due to injury and suspension so they have little option to field a weakened side.

That's the kind of good luck Liverpool are enjoying this season.

Its should be no surprise to anyone that they are favourites to win the league this season given what has transpired.

They may still blow it despite the cards falling in their lap.

Hard to envisage now though, isn't it.

I fear we are going to have to let them have their moment in the sun and hope to god they drop back into obscurity for another 20 years afterwards. It will mean we will have to avoid all media for a few months though, unless you are keen on vomiting.

Funny thing is, I never really minded Liverpool that much - apart from their scummy captain. But since they have been so utterly nauseating lately, I find myself despising them and the prospect of them winning it is just sickening.

The big question we need to ask is can we fulfil our part of the bargain first and win our remaining games, all of them?I don't believe we can or will.Fatigue, lack of belief, injuries, lack of bottle, call it what you will i don't believe we will beat Palace and Everton away, both grounds where we don't have the greatest records, especially the latter. The home games we should win but that won't be enough.

Liverpool have two tricky games,Chelsea at home and Palace away.Newcastle at home is such a foregone conclusion the Geordies might as well stay at home. The Chelsea game is now looking easier due to their injuries and bleating about the champions league game following it.We need them to lose on of their three games and i don't see it happening. Two draws won't be enough for us even if we win all our games.

I am afraid this season is finished for us,we move on hopefully wiser and stronger into the next one.

Hmmm. One loss = 3 dropped points. Two draws = 4 dropped points. But you suggest one loss will do us, and 2 draws won't be enough??!?!
