You know it's only just dawned on me (I'm slow) that should Liverpool win on Sunday and we were to lose at Palace, it's all over and they have won the bloody league.

Come on Chelsea FFS!!!
WRONG! They would need one more point from two games.

Sorry yes, my mistake. They'd be 9 points clear and I was thinking they'd have 2 games left so we couldn't catch them, but of course we'd have 3 games left. It would be all over in reality though.

No point blaming Chelsea if they play a weakened side, they have to do what's best for their club.
We threw it away by bottling it and have only ourselves to blame.
I still believe we're the best team in the league but we just haven't shown it enough when we really needed to.
One slight problem affecting Chelsea is that if they lose out to Liverpool and then fail in Europe too, Mourinho will have won nothing and Roman will not be a happy bunny.

Get second place at least...

I can see us drawing Palace game and losing Everton game too in worst case. 2nd place gives us some more money, also better CL money next year...

I know I'm getting a bit giddy... But

Imagine Chelsea manage to scrap a 1-0 win at Anfield- not beyond the reals of imaginations I mean QPR, losing at Wigan etc. etc. The atmosphere before the game in the pub, walking to the stadium and in the ground will be electric. An early goal we all go berserk. We play to our potential and win a hard fought game 2-0.

All this owww- Everton always beat us.. ra ra ra .. Didn’t everyone used to beat us? That why we were patronised at every away ground with the ‘I’ve always like City’ no bloody wonder cause it was three points every time we played anyone.

Don’t get me wrong Everton are a good team but if we play to our potential we are more than capable of winning the game, and with our home record over the last three and half years it would effectively be a title decider. Win at Everton to win the title.. I think we could do it.

Then only two ‘easy’ home games to go..

I can’t wait for Sunday.

Too inconsistent. Throwing away 17 points to Sunderland (twice!), Cardiff, Villa, Stoke, a poor (at that time) Arsenal and Norwich has killed us. We got 4 point from those games; if we could even have got up to 9 or 10 points from the 21 that were available, we'd be laughing now. And yes; every side gets poor results, not just us. The table doesn't lie though; Liverpool would seem to have had fewer of those types of results, combined with the phenomenal run they're on at the moment. Can't really see us winning 11 (plus another 3?) on the spin; we're always likely to throw in a daft result in that number of games.

The three points total tally from the 4 games against Liverpool and Chelsea is where we really messed up. All six point games

Stick to the saxophone Kenny

You sir owe me a new keyboard co'z I just spill my coffee reading your comment :)

It's in the post.

If you win the title its a given that you deserve it.

Others may cry poor but your name is on the title for that year and that is all that matters.

Let's hope it says Manchester City this year cracks or no cracks.

That's the spirit!!! We have to win the next 4. We've slipped up enough. Will we? Well there is no reason to say we won't. A safe Palace side free from relegation stress = space for us to score. An Everton side now playing football at grass level and needing to win, no reason we can't match them, outplay them and win ourselves. Meanwhile a Chelsea side that will sit deep and counter = exactly Liverpool's weakness. A Palace game on a Monday night after we put more pressure on with a win at Goodison and they crumble again... Beat Villa at home and it sets us up nicely. Even if they beat Chelsea, if we beat Palace and Everton the pressure will be firmly on Liverpool and real pressure. Not this Hillsborough memorial do it for the 96 and Gerrard fake pressure.

If we beat Palace this weekend then that still puts pressure on Liverpools game with them. It's not over until we drop points or they beat Palace and Chelsea.
