You know it's only just dawned on me (I'm slow) that should Liverpool win on Sunday and we were to lose at Palace, it's all over and they have won the bloody league.

Come on Chelsea FFS!!!

Hmmm. One loss = 3 dropped points. Two draws = 4 dropped points. But you suggest one loss will do us, and 2 draws won't be enough??!?!

Bless him, he's written us off so much he's forgotten what he was saying!

Ha ha![Goes to get his calculator out]

LMFAO

No point blaming Chelsea if they play a weakened side, they have to do what's best for their club.
We threw it away by bottling it and have only ourselves to blame.
I still believe we're the best team in the league but we just haven't shown it enough when we really needed to.

WRONG! They would need one more point from two games.

I still really believe we can do it.
Im thinking that Liverpool will beat Chelsea on Sunday and we will beat palace, although whoever Chelsea play they will give them a seriously tough game so Liverpool winning is far from being a foregone conclusion.
Then we come to the wknd after!!! The big question is can we beat Everton Saturday teatime (yes we can) and heap some real pressure on the mickeys at palace on the Monday night.
IMO if we beat Everton then Liverpool will buckle away to pulis and palace with just two games to go.
This is far from over guys......believe ffs.

Too inconsistent. Throwing away 17 points to Sunderland (twice!), Cardiff, Villa, Stoke, a poor (at that time) Arsenal and Norwich has killed us. We got 4 point from those games; if we could even have got up to 9 or 10 points from the 21 that were available, we'd be laughing now. And yes; every side gets poor results, not just us. The table doesn't lie though; Liverpool would seem to have had fewer of those types of results, combined with the phenomenal run they're on at the moment. Can't really see us winning 11 (plus another 3?) on the spin; we're always likely to throw in a daft result in that number of games.

But they'd play Champions League final and make 10 millions or so. That's like getting Salah on free.

And you never know, nobody thought they'd beat Bayern at Allianz last time, or they'd beat Barcelona but they did. Parking the bus like they did at Atletico could potentially win you any game, specially when you're good in doing it like they are.

They would be idiots to not prioritize Champions League now. PL title is all but gone for them now as they need 2 teams to slip, not just one.

Plus, it's not like their weakened team is Cardiff quality, they can still get a result even with weakened team so it's worth to try it, and keep their best players fresh for Atletico.

Cech , Terry , Ramieriez and, Hazard will be out due to injury and suspension so they have little option to field a weakened side.

That's the kind of good luck Liverpool are enjoying this season.

Its should be no surprise to anyone that they are favourites to win the league this season given what has transpired.

They may still blow it despite the cards falling in their lap.

Hard to envisage now though, isn't it.

I fear we are going to have to let them have their moment in the sun and hope to god they drop back into obscurity for another 20 years afterwards. It will mean we will have to avoid all media for a few months though, unless you are keen on vomiting.

Funny thing is, I never really minded Liverpool that much - apart from their scummy captain. But since they have been so utterly nauseating lately, I find myself despising them and the prospect of them winning it is just sickening.
Same here. Never minded them all too much until this season. But the sheer inanity of that rent-a-quote bellend Rogers and his bollocks about doing things the right way, together with the shameless instrumentalisation of the Hillsborough anniversary to garner favour has tipped me over the edge.

We dont deserve it.
Would love us to win it but we are inconsistent and lack the right mental strength.
The manager is not flexible enough and his tactics are one dimensional.
Every game is different but he is a one trick pony.
Holistic or not, he has underachieved and we are not as good as we think.
If we won it, whilst delighted it would paper over cracks.
Major changes to this squad needed im afraid

Stick to the saxophone Kenny

You sir owe me a new keyboard co'z I just spill my coffee reading your comment :)

It's in the post.

Exactly. Reminiscent of the way the rags milked the Munich disaster and gained zillions of "fans". That put me off the club for life.

It's out of our hands in the main respect but on the other hand we know exactly what we have to do in order to give ourselves as shot at it . . . As for Maureen playing a weakened side at Liverpool . . . Don't believe that for a minute he will be firmly eyeing the prospect of a double now and if anyone can go there and get something it's him
