We have the ability to win any competition, but that means nothing without desire. I despair at last nights performance. For the life of me I can't think of anything positive to say about the rest of the season. Tim Sherwood described us as the "best team on the planet, after we beat them at Whiteheart Lane. Who would have thought we would have given up with a whimper. Sad really sad. The whole of the management need to get the players together and tell them some home truths.

We have a slightly better chance of winning the title than we have of winning the CL. But as this is City, I expect them to begin by giving WBA the kind of stuffing we should have given Sunderland!

of course it is but this thread should be on a Liverpool or Chelsea forum, THEY should be chasing US with the players we have.

Individually maybe but as a team Liverpool and Chelsea have been a step up this season. Chelsea would've pissed this league if they'd had Costa or Falcao.

If Silva, Sergio, Nasri, & Negredo to name a few had stayed fit, we would be on top and on course to win the PL with games to spare.

yeh but even when fit pellers leaves them out from time to time. madness. injuries are one thing but voluntarly weaken ourselves is criminal, and he's done that too many times. you dont buy top top players then leave them in the stands ffs.

We have to win all our games and then:
Chelsea have to drop points in 1 game.
Liverpool have to drop points in 2 games.

So the most 'realistic' scenario/hope is
Liverpool vs Chelsea ends in a draw and
Liverpool draw/lose against Palace away.

Don't get your hopes up.

Another post which makes it sound like we need three results to go our way. We need two, and one is guaranteed to happen, so we actually need one... plus win our own games of course.

In many ways Liverpool v Chelsea is the most irrelevant game of all for our chances.

Not read all 11 pages but It's still not that tough for us to win the league. We need to win all 5 games.......then....Chelsea to beat Liverpool and draw one of their remaining 3 games against Sunderland at home, Norwich at home and Cardiff away. We win it on goal difference with the scousers coming second and Chelsea 3rd. Big ask for us to win our 5 remaining games, but it's not impossible.

Lot needs to fall our way with only 4/5 matches to go. Not impossible, but highly improbable.
