Manchester City have reached an agreement with Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero, but the clubs are in disagreement over the fee for the player.
The 32-year-old has drawn interest from both Arsenal and Manchester City this summer after enjoying a successful domestic season with Malaga last year.
Caballero managed a total of 39 appearances for the Spanish outfit last season, keeping 12 clean sheets.
With Costel Pantilimon having already left for Sunderland earlier in the summer, Manuel Pellegrini is looking at Caballero as an option to provide current number one Joe Hart with competition.
Caballero has a contract with his current club that runs until to June 2017.
An offer of €6m has been placed on the table by the Premier League champions, but the Boquerones are insisting on €10m, according to Spanish daily Marca.
The Citizens are therefore keeping their options open with yet another Argentine, Geronimo Rulli, also being targeted.
Manchester City have made two signings this summer in the form of right-back Bacary Sagna and midfielder Fernando.
