Willy has to play in the Final

Only way Willy doesn't play is if Pellegrini thinks he's rattled and will struggle again.

Barcelona share their goalkeeping duties. Some will say their keepers are better, but Willy was when he was playing in La Liga their top rated keeper

Willy and Kolarov in one day Marvin?? Admirable, if not mischievous;-)

Willy just does not inspire one with confidence which is essential for a goalkeeper really. He can pull off the odd super reaction save as in first half last Sunday but makes far too many basic errors on a consistent basis. Also while Joe can and does make mistakes he sometimes wins matches with a string of great saves something Willy is unlikely to do. Given that we are now underdogs for the League and not likely to get any further than the Semi Final of the CL Sunday represents our best chance of winning a trophy this season and with Joe in Goal our chances of victory are that much better. Common sense dictates he should start and that decision should be taken regardless of any real or supposed agreement that may exist. Finally, we will need more than Joe in goal to win on Sunday unless we turn up with a big performance we won't beat the Dippers.

I agree to every single word.
You know I just don't like bashing. For me it's a lack of respect and character.

If I had to decide Joe would play. But in case we came to minute 116 I would change the keepers as I think Cab is a better penalty killer and as a psychological moment as well.

Generally I often found it strange that English teams don't always play the best keeper like in Germany for instance. Purely down to the principle of performance. How did City handle this keeper thing historically? Did the 2nd keeper regularly have some matches during the season? Is that an old tradition?

And one more thought:
IF Cab is playing on Sunday or whenever I clearly expect huge and full support to help him - without any discussion. I always loved the moment when the 2nd keeper came on and the whole ground got behind him celebrating every single touch. It's about turning a disadvantage into an advantage. And it does have an influence on the opponent team as well.

But I feel many City fans even wish to see Cab fail just to be able to say afterwards that they knew it before. Just to be right.

A very polite and long winded way of saying you want to see Hart play St Pauli.

However if you actually believe City fans want "Cab" to fail you are completely wrong and disengenuous.

Stand more chance with my cat in goal

He was going to be recalled before the Everton game but he said he could not go as he had a semi on.

I'll get my coat.

I didn't even dare thinking about that! But as you say - brilliant idea. Including a friendly at the Millerntor ground. Perfect.

All the harsh comments on here made me feel that way. But in that I case I am relieved. Good to hear.

When Willy has a bad game it usually doesn't involve making 1 or 2 mistakes, possibly leading to goals, he pretty much completely falls apart and so does the defence, and he flaps and fumbles and starts to drop things and make silly decisions and do strange things.

I don't know why I keep coming on this thread, I'm resigned to him starting on Sunday.
