Wimbledon 2023 | Alcaraz beats Djokovic in the final

Watch him disappear like Emma
Ok, she has had injury problems but she seems to not understand how to sustain her career. She keeps sacking coaches with the ludicrous statement that she knows more than they do. I don’t think her father helps the cause much. She needs a complete rethink and some hard advice. If she doesn’t do that her career is over.
A terrible pity for one who is a major talent.

Absolutely fantastic final. Think the pivotal moment was the drive volley Djokovic put into the net on Alcaraz's first service game of final set.

Can't believe the power Alcatraz generates off his own racquet. Hope someone comes through to challenge him otherwise it could get a bit boring.

Mind I'm not sure Djokovic is quite done yet.

Amazing -peformance.
First Wimbledon in a while I've properly engaged in.
It's a great sport to play. My dad made me play almost every day as a kid but I loved it and would play for hours and hours into the dark (we had a local community club in our town).

He died when I was a kid but that lasting legacy of sport has seen me through some up and down times over the years and why at 50 I keep doing something every day.

Think I'm gonna dust off my Wilson had hit a few balls again (no euphemism intended)....

Classy speech from Djokovic, I genuinely don’t get the hate for him
For me it was the blatant lies he told when trying to get into the Australian open at the time of Covid. Although I also don’t care much for his gamesmanship, extended bog breaks and slow serving, only when he is losing. This Alcarez looks a much needed breath of fresh air.
