Raducanu was excellent today. Her serve and return of serve both went up a notch from the erratic performance of two days ago. She found some great angles on her ground strokes. You could see the confidence growing with each game as she smiled throughout. Still some way to go but there were glimpses of her best form.
Sonay Kartal was the first British woman to win today and will play Gauf in the next round.
She certainly played on the front foot. Give her a year and we will see, demons permitting. The aggression is the Key, She played on the front foot and attacked at will, Controlled Anger will win her Wimbledon because she has the talent and skill
Look at all those empty green seats. If they were blue and it was Manchester then it looks like City.
@BlueHammer85 That explains much. Whilst I’d like to go to tennis one day, I’ll choose a smaller event closer to me rather than the circus Wimbledon attracts.
If you want to try Wimbledon, enter the ballot and pay the ticket cost - then it's worth it.
never do the queue.
I think he licked the Wimbledon players nose (John Fashanu?) and got hit - he got sent off and no action against the Wimbledon playerWe done them in their first top flight game. 4-1 IIRC. Best memory playing them was when Andy Morrison got sent off for trying to snog one of theirs in the FA cup game when they played at Selhurst park.
Are these the uk’s top 2 men? More empty seats than 10 mins to go at City
Only saw the end but his serve looked strong. I fucking hate the upper middle class Wimbledon crowd, all titters and can’t be arsedFair play to Norrie though, he's had a stinking 12 months and not many would have had him down to beat Draper with the form he has shown over the last month.
