I put sausage casserole in the slow cooker about 3pm and then went on the piss. Just got home and it smells great, Wouldnt have it rice though. Ive got some spuds going and then Im going to mash the tits off them ready to have the juicy wonder poured all over it

Mash spuds sounds great as well to me. Like you say it's the slow cooking of the dish that makes it awesome.

My missus hates pasta .... so she has rice Bolognese when I make it ...lol
