Wolves (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Not a great performance, I don't get or like the gundo - kovacic pairing.
It's 3 points more than we got there last season when the scorer of the winning goal shouldn't of been on the pitch.
Nothing at all wrong with Stonseys goal.
Hope Wolves go down, small time cunts.
Piss boiling and snot and tears all over the show.
Love it.

Sky Sports doing there best to convince everybody that the goal should have been challed off by showing previous decisions that got disallowed by being close to a goalkeeper lol

Fucking wankers.

It's bizarre that they cite the offside aspect - Bernardo wasn't offside from the corner and when Stones heads it, he's away from Sa, so not interfering etc. The fact that ex-players don't know that is surreal.

Absolutely buzzing still after that.

I call things as I see them and I honestly don't think the goal should have been disallowed. The amount of crying has been wonderful, but is also over exaggerated just because its City.

I thought Savinho and Doku were good in the first half and causing lots of problems, wouldn't have switched them at half time.
Overall Doku was pretty decent I thought
I also think Grealish did well when he came on

Impressed with Lewis once again, bar the goal.

There were plenty of worrying signs for the season ahead though, but we've been here before at this stage of the season.

We're arguably missing our 2 most influential players in midfield so our performances are bound to dip a level or two...and being hyper critical, gundo is looking his age now sadly....maybe needs to be more of a squad/sub player these days.......
So whilst we aren't exactly setting the world alight, we're still unbeaten and still in a great position. I'm actually proud of all the lads...it cant be easy playing against teams who stick 11 bwhind the ball and just sit there......they are still so patient and believe in themselves.....they still try and play, we never give up, and they really do fight till the end...

How shit are Wolves. No desire to do anything other than defend. Three shots at home all game and none on target in the second half. Shameful time wasting from the first minute yet nothing added on for it. Tactical fake injuries so team talks can be given and more time wasted. Another keeper holding on to the ball for 20-25 seconds without being penalised. Compare with rugby and how they stop the clock and now introducing time limits to take penalties, set scrums etc. Not at our best but we lost at Wolves last year with a similar performance. Still coming to terms with the loss of Rodri but I trust the players to work it out. And no debate over the winner, 100% the right decision.
That's a bit harsh. They are playing for their PL lives and that of the manager. They score a good goal early which I bet they couldn't believe (it was so easy) almost score a second and the decide to defend what they have.
After that we smother them for most of the game but every time they did have a potential attack, I was worried but relieved as they lack a bit of quality

An awful game, as it usually is against this lot, which was petering out to a hugely disappointing draw, until our last gasp winner. We are second in the table and still unbeaten without playing well yet. I'm not sure if this is a good sign or a bit worrying.
We are too easy to get at and score against at the moment. I know Rodri is a big miss so Pep is maybe going to have to adjust how we play. Tweak the high line and be a bit more solid. Gundogan's form since his return is a bit worrying, hopefully Kev getting back will improve our midfield.
Erling was totally anonymous and our two wingers just don't create and score enough.
Anyway onwards and upwards, hopefully Pep comes up with a solution for Rodri's absence. We certainly have to tighten up quite a bit.

Baseball has changed its rules similar to American football where the pitcher has a limited amount of time to pitch to speed up the game, there is a timer for all to see. I had to check but the 6 second law is still there, it should be increased to 10 but it should be on the screen for all to see the ref or some other official could implement to be shown on screen, this an going down for cramp it’s fucking ridiculous and creeping more into the game.

You simply cannot beat a last gasp winner. Magical scenes at the end and I've been buzzing from it ever since. We even got to experience it twice over thanks to var. However, the 90 minutes of shite preceeding it was not worth it. That should have been a no thrills 3 goal win.

If anybody is still questioning whether we've got some major issues, they need to take the blinkers off. The signs have been there for numerous games now and it's going to bite us hard in the arse unless rectified.

Bottom of the league and we score from our left back producing a worldie and a centre back from a corner. Only other notable chances we had the entire game were a couple of efforts from around the edge of the box. Think the keeper made one great save and a couple of standard saves and that was the entire extent of gis work despite us camping in their final third for practically the whole game. Thats just not good enough, we create so little right now and it should be a major concern. We spend so long going absolutely nowhere, soon as it hit 90 minutes today, We spent the entire first 2 minutes of injury time going sideways only to gladly settle for a corner that we could easily have got 90 seconds prior. Pep has got to find some penetration and a way of supplying Haaland. This idea that every team just sits in against us and its especially hard for us is bollocks im afraid, they do that because we are so pedestrian with the ball and offer no threat in behind. we purposefully turn the game into that, we never attack quickly and directly, we always wait until they've set and that's why we cannot create anything.

We're also pathetically wide open to any counter when we lose possession even against sides without notable pace, the amount of times I saw players not even bothering to get back in after we lost it today was ridiculous, no individual blame, was a collective thing they're all guilty of. It's no surprise we routinely concede on transition from few chances, the shape is just asking for that to happen every time we lose the ball and we're clearly getting no benefit from throwing so many ahead of the ball either.

pep has to change our approach because this isn't a one off shit performance it's a pattern.
