Disclaimer = I'm obviously a Wolves fan. However, I have watched City play quite a bit over the last few years as I've borrowed my mates Cityzens card. I've actually seen City more than Wolves.
From a Wolves perspective it has certainly been flattering to read some of the comments on here. Particularly as some "lesser" teams (relative to City) have not given us credit for the way that we try to play proper attacking football. As much as our second string gave your second 11 a run for their money in the cup last year, I think the Prem is a different kettle of fish. This early in the season both teams have a point to prove. There's a lot to be said about the optics of sitting at the top of the table (if you're Man City) or being comfortably mid-league (for the Wolves) early on. I dont expect us to play a defensive game (thats not in the DNA of the team) I think there is still a natural predisposition for caution without the ball, particularly with the attacking talent of City. The issue Wolves has is that we will sit without the ball in a 5 - 4 - 1 that is heavily contingent on our attacking WB and wide midfielders to track back and defend correctly. With the array of talent that City has at its disposal there is certainly room to exploit some weaknesses in transition by deploying pace on the wing - I think Sane would be fantastic. Equally in both pre-season and in early prem games Wolves have been susceptible to a central killer through ball for a striker splitting defenders.
I reckon a couple for Aguero. City to win 3-1.
Nice honest appraisal and some perspective.
