I think he will retain Jesus and Aguero with Mendy proving the width on that side. I would expect Walker to come back at the expense of one of the central defenders, the rest of the team unchanged from last week

I remember Wolves in the middle 50's - playing foreign teams like Honved and Spartak Moscow - on my gran's Black and White telly.
Later in the 70's went to watch City at Wolves - City lost 5-1 with Rodney Marsh scoring in the last minute.
Then 1974 - with our famous forward line of Summerbee . Bell , Lee , Law , and Marsh - lose 2-1 at Wembers.
Hopefully , we win 3-1 tomorrow.
Those games against the Russian teams were when they were considered the best of British football, personified by hardworking Billy Wright and iron man Stan Cullis. But then they got slaughtered in a couple of friendlies against Barcelona, "artists v. artisans" as one reporter said at the time, showing the difference between English players and those who used to be called "the continentals."

Ederson - Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy - Fernandinho - Sterling, Bernardo, Silva, Jesus - Aguero

Guess Sterling will come in but would be hard for Pep to bench Jesus so he might play on the left. Unless Pep plans to play with Sterling as a 10 behind Aguero and Jesus.

#PEP: With Zinchenko, we will see what happens at the end of the month but now he is training. The situation is not easy for him but I am impressed with how he is training. #mancity
PEP: 10 years here... Happy anniversary to Vincent Kompany. It’s many games, unfortunately it could have been more. There’s no doubt about his quality. When he is fit, he is a top central-defender

PEP: Wolves destroyed the Championship. They had an incredible season. They play attractive football and attack with good players. We knew how tough it would be last season in the Carabao Cup and it was.

PEP: (On Bravo's return) I don't know... we will see.

Pep Guardiola confirms Ederson, Aro Muric and Daniel Grimshaw will be City's three goalkeepers for the season (until Bravo returns).

PEP: Daniel Grimshaw and Aro Muric know the way we work and they will be with us. Aro has an amazing work ethic and amazing potential. At the start of the season, we decided Grimshaw was third, it means we trust him.

Did I hear right? Fernandinho has a muscular problem

Pep says the players are still not in peak condition so early in the season and have muscle problems. He says Fernandinho "recovered slowly" from the last game.
