Of course we were in favour of it. It benefits the clubs with insane depth and disadvantages those without. The season is going to be stupid like that ... players sitting self-isolating for two weeks then not having trained with the team sitting out another game so potentially 2-3 games out ... no wait, we're going at almost two games per week schedule so potentially missing out 4-5 games each time anyone tests positive ... technically if they'd been training with others then those others should be self-isolating too ...
Shambles ... and that 3 subs v 5 subs looks even more stupid now ... Pep was not happy about that either and it's since come out that City was in favour of keeping 5 subs rule for this season at least ...
This argument makes no sense. The whole point of the 5 subs rule was to combat the insane fixture congestion which will lead to more injuries unless managers can rotate more by using extra subs.Of course we were in favour of it. Tough decision really, because whilst it would help mitigate fatigue, it also creates an unfair advantage to the bigger teams.
Very 'strange'How come no other team is catching it ? More massaging of figures so the season can continue
