I'll tell you what. For sheer intent, inventiveness, and speed — above all speed — in that first half, it's a long time since we've since that City. Good to see them back. Maybe Pep's rant got through. Even though we only scored one, I felt we were better and totally dominated them, in a way that we didn't quite in the second half. There was a visible drop on in concentration and effort after the third goal. In fact, for about ten minutes, we were downright sloppy. Good performance overall.
Don't want to single out anyone for their performance. Erling did what he does, Kev looked sharp, loved Riyad for passing when he could easily have shot, thinking of Erling and hat tricks. Generally, I thought Mahrez and Grealish looked good again, taking on their man, not always beating them, but generally creating threat. Ed didn't have a shot to save until late in the second half, I believe. Yet again, Nathan Aké may not be the most creative player going forward, but as a sheer defender defending, I can't fault him.
Properly satisfied. Now, a good test coming up. Let's see where this goes.

Good win that and puts the pressure back on Arsenal.
 
Better performance than of late, still think players need to remember we have a number nine making runs in behind. Shocker of a ref again but Wolves didn’t really give the ref an opportunity to manipulate the result. Yet again though I want the club to write to the PL and explain why the foul on Grealish wasn’t a penalty. Ref gave neither a penalty nor a goal kick and just waited for VAR. A new tactic by refs maybe to give no decision and then pretend they have when they say VAR agrees with the decision which is against us.

Haaland would have already been on 40+ goal this year if the team just went forward when it’s clearly on. I understand being patient and going backwards if nothing is on but good god I’m tired of seeing players turn back when going for the kill is on.

Agree. We need to take the risk, we may loose possession but Haaland is going to get on the end of 1 in 10 of those and score.
 
Most important aspect for me is everyone played well. I didn't spot a poor or sluggish performance from anyone on the pitch long enough to make an impact.

Not an easy feat against a side who had no intention of playing football and simply aimed to stop play as much as possible.

Hopefully a big step back towards being ourselves.
 
I would say that was a really good third gear win. We weren’t great but we were good enough and quite a few of our players are looking to be hitting really good form.

Mahrez has been brilliant recently and showed some sublime touches today. Grealish is finally starting to look like a City player, it was great to see him running with the ball today and have a couple of good shots on goal.KDB looks he starting to shake off his World Cup hangover. Every time I see Rodri I am amazed at just how great a player he is. A fit and in-form John Stones makes a huge difference to our team and finally there’s big Erling - are we now “The Haaland Team ?”
