Wolves (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Not a great performance, really struggled early on but eventually got control before the goal. Apart from one dodgy spell and a late wolves flurry we were pretty much in control second half.

Passing was below par all night, all through the side. Gundogan off the pace all night. Like O’Reilly he looked a little tired.

Great to see Doku get another assist and of course another KDB goal. Need a rest and build for an intense 15 days with 4 finals.
O’Reilly gave it away twice in quick succession and Pep immediately gave him the shepherds crook

Bernado was much better, but I thought Gundogan missed a few passes that he would usually do in his sleep.

You might be a bit harsh on Gvardiol - he has been very good of late and matured a lot this season I think.
Bernie’s shoe shine shuffle to leave the two Wolves players for dead after big Eddie gave him a hospital pass was a thing of beauty

Worst season in donkeys years and could still finish 2nd in the league and win fa cup and World Cup. I’d fucking take that as a “transitional season”

Great result that tonight!! How on gods earth though did VAR not look at that horrendous tackle on silva and not tell the referee to go to the screen and send him off. One of the worst VAR decisions I’ve seen that!! The ball had long gone and he then changes the angle of his foot so the Stoods are showing and scrapes down Silva’s leg! Could have broken his leg easily.
I agree. It was a red card. Dreadful tackle and meant.

How the fuck wasn't that a red card for Ait-Nouri? Knew exactly what he was doing, rolled his foot over the top of the ball then went for Bernardo. Could easily have been a season ending injury, the snidde ****.
and why can the media not do any research and look at his performance tonight where he forgot his cards inc the red, and compare it to his performance in his last game at Bournemouth v Rags where not only did he send off a Bournemouth player incorrectly for a much lesser foul, he also nooked another 6, 4 from Bournemouth. Just highlights the sheer inconsistency of PGMOL one game to the next

Yep saw that too. Yet he gives the oldies some leniency when they give the ball. Guess that how he gets the point across. Learn the hard way!

Against a red shirt, that would have been a VAR instruction for a ref review, and then a straight red. It was disgusting - he deliberately changed the angle of his foot to foul Bernardo. Whether he intended to break his leg, we'll never know, but he could have done. Another shocker from VAR, if not the ref.

The game? We rode our luck; got away with one imho; 3 points is all that matters in the end.

Palace, Villa, Forest and Wolves have all been 'form' teams when we've played them and we've won 'em all. Fair play to Pep, but, I hope we don't have to put up with this dour stuff next season.

Totally unimpressed with the performance, but a nice goal from Kev and Doku adds a bit of unpredictability.
Wolves were representative of so many PL teams; muscle and pace with a small amount of skill, and an ability to clog without attracting cards.
Great atmosphere in the second half though.

Like the old Bernie we know and love. Dangerous place to do it but it worked perfectly. He’s actually really good in that deeper position where he can float about and link up play. Looks like he’s enjoying the game more.

We dug that out somehow but quite a few players were off their game e. G., Nunes. O'Reilly, Gundogan, Marmoush

Tired? Literally, they have every available resource to help them, played last Sunday with loads of time to recuperate. We are getting plenty of recovery time, unlike other seasons.

Funny how you can agree with this criticism and yet agree with another post saying how impressive it was. I guess that’s just typical of how we’re playing at the moment one minute in control the next we’re looking shaky.
