Do we ever see a shot perpendicular to the touchline? Does the VAR whelk shed see a view along that red line? Is that dotty line at 90degs, or is it one you've drawn in SWP? I'd like to see if anything of Laporte's body or gear was ahead of that guy's foot. From this angle, and even with those 'lines' it's no where near conclusive that Laporte's off!

Wolves sat that deep at times they were in Mary Ds, but they arn't the only team to try that against us and most leave Mary Ds with a bad taste in the mouth and stone cold sober.

We knocked it about well, without really penetrating and then with that that VAR and Bernardo miss straight after I feared the curse of the werewolves would strike again. It was probably better if we hadn't scored that disallowed goal as it buoyed them for the 2nd half as I think they would have gone in at HT thinking it could be our night this as things are going our way and they are not really at it tonight.

When they scored I expected them to get a second. It was their first touch in our area and they had scored. t looked typical City of the recent past where profligacy has cost us points.

We are more driven though now and we upped our game and I think we underestimate how draining it must be for sides to be sat in Mary Ds all night chasing, shuffling across, plugging gaps and concentrating on runners. We literally passed them into submission and our pressing was exceptional. You can only really press like that though if you have confidence that your back four will not be exposed and to be fair they rarely were and coped with Traroe well and he has been a bit of a nemesis for us of late.

Plus points. Mahrez was outstanding, but he also impressed with his work rate and pressing, Sterling whilst not bang in form at the moment worked his socks off tracking back and helping out Cancelo.

I thought it was a very professional performance from us where we never hit the heights we are capable off but had more than enough to see them off. Our game management is exceptional and where in the past we could look ragged, now we don't, we always look in control.

The late goals were a product of all the work we had done during the game, we simply swamped them and our pressing so late in the game was magnificent and I think we got our just desserts.

edited for accuracy.

Its a horrible graphic though that does VAR no favours. The red line seems to land on top of the blue but is then shunted forward to make it look offside. The blue line isnt taken from the back point of his heel either, just looks wrong. No issues about where laportes line is taken from though again at such fine margins its all down to where someone decides lines are started.

I think robbie savage deserves a bit of credit, tone aside, he actually sees things better than many admit.

He called all three onsides righ by eye, before the var screen even came up.

Jesus' first goal i though was offside in play, var checked it (that one wasnt flagged from memory) in the buildup,
and he straight away said ths player on the far left plays it onside at the time of the pass. Jesus second i thought was tight enoigh to be offside, again, he said straight away, his knee is behind the defender. And the Laporte one he called right too, when he said i think the defender's foot plays him onside. Var manipulated the timing and the lines to the nearest pixel to back the linesman (they damn well tried for jesus' second ss well, giving him an extra knee), but credit to him for spotting the detail on first viewing.
I like Savage. I think he's smart and funny.

I liked him as a player too. Would have loved if we had signed him way back then.

Yes she didnt flag at all for our 2 late goals iirc....possibly relying on VAR too much now ,and there is the problem with Refs and Liners ...Let them Ref/line
TBH - I like Sian and thinks she's good at her job
Now we see at a regular basis the tolerances they have to deal with its obvious mistakes will be made
Maybe she hasn't yet got over Seg feeling her up with a cheeky finger on the touchline
He should have waited until after the game

Kenny Clements got it as well. Boozed up sweaty scrotes with a pie in their hand, brains the size of a peanut turning on our own players. There are guys in the North Stand who used to shout nonsense at Yaya. Thankfully, they are usually told to pack it in by the overwhelming number of decent fans.
Kenny was a little before my time mate so can't really comnent on his situation. I am not surprised though. We always seem to have a whipping boy.

Recently it seems to have been Gundogan. I remember posting about Gundogan when his abuse was at its height, that the only reason people were giving him grief was vecause he was not as good as David or KDB. He was still a million miles better than most other midfielders in the league. Low and behold, David moves away and Gundogan thrives, the abuse stops. People just want a scapegoat and I find it rather sad.

Just wear long sleeve shirts, what happens if the sleeve has ridden up slightly or you crop the sleeve shirt to gain a few centimetres, anything this close should go way of the attacker. I don’t just say this because it’s us any team should get it, apart from the scum and dippers obviously
