Funny how opposition fans aren't quite so keen to come to our place these days. You'd have had Newcastle as a dead cert to sell out both tiers. Might even dawn on the rags one day soon that it's not worth wasting the train fare from Milton Keynes.
I'm not sure, I went on the villa forum before our clash with them and they weren't very happy with the allocation.
Yes at the start but they were still on sale the day or 2 befor the game
and that was with a reduced allocation too

And we would have sold both tiers, but our club only accepted the bottom tier because of the no return policy.
That doesn't make sense
If you would have sold both tiers they would have asked for both tiers as there wouldn't need to return any

If you haven't noticed, we don't care how good a team is or how likely we are to lose, we will still go. The club have started to make a habit of accepting the minimum number of seats and have restricted away games to season ticket holders only or members only. But we sold all 4000 tickets for Blackburn last night which was an 8pm Wednesday kick off, so what makes you think we wouldn't sell out on a Saturday 3pm kickoff?

1992 21.012
1991 16.879
1990 21.579
1989 22.815
1987 24.792
1986 23.434
1985 26.228

Newcastle average attendences when they were shit

This doesn't count because football didn't exist befor the premier league

They ain't too bad now but there's 6k missing on their average attendance

Re: Wolves Sold Out, Newcastle About To Sell Out

Newcastle appears to have sold out 3 weeks before Kick Off. How many could we have got for this game?

Re: Wolves Sold Out, Newcastle About To Sell Out

I don't think SWC and SEC were opened for Newcastle as yet, maybe they should open them or at least take down the listing and say it's sold out.

I'm guessing by his username he means Newcastle rather than Villa.

Anyway back to City, to paraphrase the rags, "20,000 empty seats, are you fucking sure?"

Re: Wolves Sold Out, Newcastle About To Sell Out

20,000 extra seats, yes we're f*cking sure.

Re: Wolves Sold Out, Newcastle About To Sell Out

Remember we beat the Geordies a few years ago in a night match they brought about 500. Was really surprised that night as they always bring a shit load and sell out, they've got top away support. I'd say about the same level as us. Let's not forget we've had some bad turn outs down the years and some mega turnouts too, so yeah i'd say we were quite similar, big clubs with no success on the pitch.
