Brighton are moving their women's team into a newly constructed building at the training ground which will give the women exactly the same quality of facilities as the men. They are committed to women's football and it has begun to show in their improving results.Hopefully the former rag coach has put people off signing for them.
It seems only three teams are arsed about giving their teams decent training and development facilities over ticking a box. It's no coincidence those teams will be ones constantly fighting for honours.
I didn't hear, or read, a single report about the final day of the WSL season which did not mention that City could win the league.Didn't see the final yesterday, but when I heard the score, I thought yes ha ha . But later felt a bit sorry for the Chelsea Women and realised it was the media and their arse kissing of Chelsea that had turned me against them , with all this "quadruple" stuff and making sound like it was in the bag .
Last week we had a outside chance of winning the league. It didn't happen, but I didn't heard one media outlet mention it , yet Monday morning BBC breakfast it was "Chelsea Champions pipping Man City" !
Well I'm glad we agree that bias plays no part in this. It is a failing and one they should fix, whatever the reason for the current situation. As for the BBC pointing the finger at other people, I've no idea what you're talking about. I'm just here for the football. The Beeb don't need MI5 to give them the results - they were on the FA website and Sky - they just don't care and can't be arsed - its poor and shows a complete lack of respect. Typical BBC good at pointing the finger at others but don't keep their own house in good order.
Good news:
if Taylor's good enough, he'll find a way.I am not sure if this if good or bad news mate because we need a more powerful / marauding centre forward. Hopefully, there’s room for both types of player in the squad.
Looks like there’s work to be done transfer-wise this summer if this is the case.
She did. Two and a half years. If the player wants the go home it may be better to let her go so we can rebuild. That's not good to hear. Thought she had signed for two years. Perhaps they mean at the end of next season.
Agree there is no point in keeping an unhappy player. It is a pity if she hasn't settled though. The lack of Americans doesn't appear to have done Chelsea any harm, will be an interesting summer for both men and women's teams. She did. Two and a half years. If the player wants the go home it may be better to let her go so we can rebuild.
I’m starting to understand why Chelsea didn’t sign any Americans.
Well mate I must of missed them , because I didn't hear anything about City having a outside chance of winning the league in the build up to the final Sunday of the league ?I didn't hear, or read, a single report about the final day of the WSL season which did not mention that City could win the league.

There seemed to be some kind of question mark re the three American girls towards the end of the season. Rose barely made a start, and Sam 'n Abby, clear starters in my book, we benched. Mmmmmmm! Summat gone on?Wonder if this is why she was benched at the end of the season?
Could be.There seemed to be some kind of question mark re the three American girls towards the end of the season. Rose barely made a start, and Sam 'n Abby, clear starters in my book, we benched. Mmmmmmm! Summat gone on?
If we are not careful the women's game, media-wise, will go the same way as the men's - only certain clubs will get the coverage, and it's important not just to have a women's league but to see it develop, and not just in the clubs favoured by the RDAHMeedya.Could be.
They might be used to a higher standard than the ESL currently gives.
I think the club should be looking at the US and the big European leagues at ways of improving and adapting the game in the UK.
I really want it to succeed in its own right.
100% this.If we are not careful the women's game, media-wise, will go the same way as the men's - only certain clubs will get the coverage, and it's important not just to have a women's league but to see it develop, and not just in the clubs favoured by the RDAHMeedya.
Thanks for the reply KevWell mate I must of missed them , because I didn't hear anything about City having a outside chance of winning the league in the build up to the final Sunday of the league ?
It does seem a bit of a mystery.True none of know what happens in training, but when Rose Lavelle is still good enough for the American team yet can only make the bench at City , people will ask questions.
