Hi,

I have just bought 4 tickets for the Liverpool game. Cost a total of £7.50 for all 4 as option for three of the tickets said wsl offer. Any idea what the offer was/why the offer was available?

It wasn’t on the Derby tickets - presumably as it’s in the etihad?

We’ve had an influx of international players. Far more than Chelsea and Arsenal this summer.
Millie Bright - like Wendy Renard - looks exceptional because there are hardly any world class centre forwards in the Womens game. This is the biggest weakness. If Alex Popp had been fit to play in that Euro final I feel that Germany would have won.
Watched Rangers Women thrash Hamilton Women today on BBC and Rangers played with two big strikers up front. Both shockingly bad. Useless.
Bunny Shaw is one of the few effective ‘big strikers’ in the womens game.
Expecting a lot from her - with loads of assists from Hemp and Kelly.

We've had a lot of changes, so might have a slow start. Last year we had a slow start because of injuries and it killed the season. Even an average start should mean we can have a chance once everyone starts to gel.

Let's face it though, there's very little between a good season and a bad season where we are now. We probably expect 3rd after last year and the changes - a bad season is 4th, a good one 2nd. A great season... Well, 1st isn't out of the question (yet).

Nick Cushing in big trouble at New York City FC. Team has gone into freefall with a succession of poor displays and defeats. Can’t defend and can’t score and now out of any title challenge.
Anyone think a return is on?? I wouldn’t want it myself.

Doesn’t sound like Keira Walsh wants to be here this season in her England press conference.

Wouldn't comment on club football at all.

We haven't seen much of the team, particularly the newcomers, apart from the Real game and some internationals, but I would have thought that the morale in the women's team is reasonably buoyant. We seem to have a talented squad, in better shape than we started last season. I haven't heard any reasons for Stanway, Weir and Bronze to move on. They have yet, if they ever will, suggest they have moved because they feel their careers are stagnating. I think stuff might be happening of which we are not privvy.

The game against the Arse will fill in a good few blanks.

On paper…..much better squad than last season. Talented players. Last chance for Gareth Taylor to show that he has what it takes as a coach.
I’m not hopeful - given his track record - and his total failure to become animated and angry on the touch line.
Watches the match with all the energy of Sven Goran Erickson …..and that ended badly.
The Arsenal match - due to the poor standard of the WSL - is a “must win”. The WSL title is decided on the top 4 matches against each other.
Last season Arsenal started by beating Chelsea 3:2 thanks to the lack of VAR - the infamous Beth Mead “goal” that only the officials thought was ‘onside’.
Emma Hayes made no comments about being cheated - and went on to win the WSL. Her worst match in the domestic season was the Continental Cup Final. Still amazed that City won that.

Maybe she just doesn't want comment on club football while with the national team ?
Why?? Hasn’t stopped anyone else…….the Rags and Arsenal Lionesses are always identified as Rags and Arsenal Lionesses.
Lauren Hemp - not sure who she plays for - and Chloe Kelly is a HUGE QPR FAN and was given a great reception at their recent home match. Keira Walsh is rarely mentioned at all (apart from Jonathan Pearce).

Think Ian Wright is a big fan of Kiera Walsh too, other than that I agree.

People are different. She might not want to talk about club football 'cos she wants to leave, it might be because she doesn't like talking to the media and wants to keep it as short as possible. Plenty of reasonable explanations without it becoming a whole thing.

As for her lack of mentions in the media, she must be one of the most shy and retiring players in that England squad. It's not a shock she gets less attention than the Arsenal and United players, who are mostly loud and visible.

We've got the talent on the pitch to do summat this season but, as yer say, lose one game against the Arse or Chelsea and the top spot has gone. We did well against the Arse at The Academy last season and only nigh on the last kick of the game gave Arsenal a point, although the Arse players were moaning long about our goal after the ball hit the ref. I think they didn't know the LotG re that incident. But GT has to deliver. If he can't get the best out of this squad . . . . . . . . .

I think in the final v CFC everything nigh on went right for us and we played a good game and were worthy winners, but we have the same problem the men have - teams that come to maintain what they started with, a point from a 0-0! We have to be more direct, quicker, take half the chances we create, and pack in this idea that Steph and Ellie have to touch the fuckin' ball before it goes over the halfway line.
