Woolwich killing

Personally I don't believe 9/11 was committed by Al-Quaeda, but people in the middle east have plenty of reasons to despise America. The Madrid bombings were by a Basque separatist group.

my girlfriends basque so i'm aware of that ETA lot (nutters) which have bombed other areas of spain, which the majority of basque people despise as they ruin any legit arguments by carrying out barbaric attacks akin to the IRA. but i'm sure al-quaeda did bomb madrid as well? could be wrong though to be honest.

in regards to 9/11, didn't bin laden and al-quaeda admit it? why would they want the US to invade them if so?

I really can't be arsed airing my views on 9/11 as I am of the cover-up opinion and I don't want to provide a straw man for the EDL brigade to discount my other argument.

I think the madrid bombing may have either been falsely reported to start with hence the confusion as to whether it was an ETA or Al-Qaeda attack, reading the wiki it seems it has been attributed to Al-Qaeda but there is no direct evidence and many people believe it was an ETA attack, which is probably why we are both confused on the matter.

Whilst a tragic event, statistically, five times as many people died on the roads yesterday. And today. And the day after.

None of those deaths will be allowed to shape our foreign policy, our liberties as citizens, the way we treat an entire religion or the way we live our lives and nor should this death.

We tried that after 9/11 and look how that ended up.

fair enough pal on that first bit, that's another debate completely.

i'm not 100% on the madrid bombing anyway but i do know ETA have hit madrid before, as well as other places.

personally i think we should get the hell out of the middle east and concentrate on protecting ourselves.

Agree completely, our defence should be defence not an invasion force.
