My mother in law has a habit of using text language. It does my head in. I normally associate this stuff with poorly educated teenagers, who know no better. I am slightly more tolerant in their cases.

I don’t like it when people use “ed” at the end of words that should be just a “t”.

It’s learnt, burnt, spelt, earnt, etc.

Not learned, burned, spelled, earned, etc.
