Don't know what you're on about, great vision, workrate, constantly making brilliant runs.
Sky says, "positive and tried the right things"
Going on to say his miss was unfortunate but he scores them 9/10 times.

You ended up with the harder tie by trying to get 2nd place, couldn’t even get that right.
We will just have to agree to differ on how you went about it, or Belgium for that matter.
One thing it did show about the squad is you better hope the 1st choices don’t get injured. That’s the main thing I concluded.
Anyway, Columbia are tasty, whereas Japan look much more beatable. If you go out after this it’s a total fuck up. No question of that.
I'm laughing because he didn't make any yet every time he broke into a run it was a 'good run' even if Belgium were in possession. Miscontrolling a simple pass and handing it to a Belgian in space 10 yards away was great vision.

Coming top would mean playing Japan then the winner of Brasil/Mexico. Most likely Brasil.
Coming 2nd means playing Columbia and then the winner of Sweeden/Switzerland. I'll go with Sweeden for that.
I would personally say that playing Columbia, Sweden and Switzerland are all 50/50 games. Playing Japan and Mexico are 50/50 games. There's very little chance of us beating Brasil. So the smart thing to do was to come 2nd in the group and try to win 2 50/50 games than a 50/50 game then a 10/90 game.
We might go out to Columbia, but prior to being an expert after the fact the smart thing was to finish 2nd in the group. Then try to beat lesser nations to get as far as possible than playing Brasil in the quarter finals. We could be in the semi's before we even play a team that is one of the main tournament favourites in Spain.
It's amazing how people are so obsessed with criticising England and Southgate that they can't see this. He 100% made the best decision to lose with all of the facts that were presented to him at the time of the game.

Which is what I’m trying to say. You seen Rashfords play for what it was. No loyalty to him and can see he had a bad game. My point being everyone on here scrambled over each other when it is Sterling playing that badly to make up some weird reason as to why he wasn’t as bad. If sterling had missed that rashford chance everyone would be saying what a great run and vision to be in that position to have that chance. It’s backwards. Both should be treated the same, by the media and the fans
