World Cup 2018 | 6th July | QF: Brazil vs Belgium, KO 19:00 (BST)

De Bruyne, Kompany, Hazard, Lukaku and the 2 Spurs defenders were brilliant. Also, credit to Martinez for picking the team. They were organised in defence and attack and were stronger than Brazil all over the pitch

Brazil, other than the odd exception, were shit...

Shots on target 9-3.

I think Brazil again bottled it when it counts. Didin't take brilliant chances.
Too much pressure for them it seems.
The own goal tells a lot.

Personally I think Jesus ran into the prone Kompamy as much as Kompany went into him. Jesus had also definately lost possession of the ball.
No clear and obvious mistake by the ref for me.

It was a penalty. The one bit of skill GJ has shown in the entire 5 games he has started. He's done well for us and he is very likeable but the idea he will replace Kun seems fanciful at this stage. Mbappe 2 years younger looks twice the player.

As for the game Belgium were great and I hope they go on to lift the trophy. With all due respect to Raheem, Kyle and John, Vincent is a fucking legend and Kevin is the best player I have seen in a City shirt. Too young to have seen Colin and anyone prior. And I want KdB to lift the world cup to make up for the disgraceful selection of Salah as player of the year.

The daftest thing about the blatant pen, was that they never showed the referee the replay. They essentially told him there was 100% no chance that was a penalty, which is obviously absolutely ridiculous. If the ref watches it and still doesn't think it's a pen, that's one thing, but they never let him, which seems incredibly dodgy to me

He can go and have a look if he wants to if the word comes back inconclusive,i don't think he doubted his decision but was just checking it

Fernandinho had a horrible game imo nearly as bad as vs Germany 4 years ago in 7-1 humiliation. Karma is punishing him in this team for some reason.

Jesus finished without scoring a goal in the WC he works hard yes but as a number 9 he has to be able to score. Have a feeling Sterling wont score on this WC either.

KDB is magnificient tho even I expected him to flop as he was played so much during the season even useless League Cup games he wasnt rotated, but still has energy.

Lol @the rags celebrating lukaku performance like he was the second coming of Messi bamboozling Brazil's defense. It was decent run but most of the Brazilians were backing off him and hardly challenging him. Coutinho was also tremendously laxed in his defensive duty that time.
