Agreed. No way you could blame the own goal to pressure. Simply nonsensical to do that. Komps had a flick on the ball, changed the direction. fern along with gab in front of him had no time to react to the change in direction of the ball given the speed and little distance between them.


It was purely bad luck. At most you could say is someone should have marked komps more closely but that's it. Nowt to do with choking under pressure.

Lol @the rags celebrating lukaku performance like he was the second coming of Messi bamboozling Brazil's defense. It was decent run but most of the Brazilians were backing off him and hardly challenging him. Coutinho was also tremendously laxed in his defensive duty that time.

I thought he was excellent to be fair. He was so effective, his size and pace made Miranda look very poor. But it’s the factor of having two world class players behind you that provides you with space, time and the right passes to shine. Hazard and de Bruyne are two exceptionally good footballers, making a decent but not particularly top class player in Lukaku look elite. It’s what Silva and de Bruyne do for Sterling at City. Raheem is a decent but not particularly top class player but our midfield make him look better than he is.

Yeah, good delivery as well, pretty flat with lots of pace on it. Would have liked to see GJ and Fern with a bigger gap, one a few yards 2 or 3 closer to the ball at delivery.

He sacrifices his own play for the team. Running, pressing, dragging out defenders so neymar and coutinho could have space. Look at the goal against Southampton and tell me Gabriel isn't special.

Feel very sorry for Fernandinho but I have to say he struggled today and at times looked his age. I don’t think there is much doubt he will have a much reduced workload this coming season. Hopefully we can get the Jorginho deal done to give the guy some much needed and deserved support.
Gabby had a tough tournament. He ran a lot but got absolutely no support, especially from Neymar and Coutinho. He is definitely not the finished article but with the support and coaching he gets at City he should be a world superstar.
KDB just gets better and better. What a prize catch this guy was for us. I wonder if he’ll be back for the start of the season. He looked shagged out at the end of last season and he’s still not had a break. Although he’s a greedy bastard, Hazard is such a great player. He would look so good in sky blue in the same team as Kev. Pity, but I can’t see it happening.

Good luck to Belgium but the best team lost that game ! Brazil completely dominated the second half, missed at least three gilt edged chances , played some glorious football, hsd several other close calls that on another day would have fallen to a yellow rather than a red shirt and were denied a stone wall pen on Jesus. Whereas the luck was with Belgium with Ferns og.Its a funny old game !
