World cup comentators and pundits rating upto now

Has anybody called Glenda a **** yet, sure they will have but just in case, Glenda is a ****.

Bad pundits have a habit of being overly reactionary, good or bad. Shearer, Waddle, Sutton, Nevilles, and Dixon fall foul of this the most. The kind of pundits that will tell you player X had an awesome/awful game based off three incidents and ignoring the rest of the 90.

There's been a real lack of insight from most of the pundits. Far too much focus on individuals and not enough on teams, especially tactically. For example, I haven't seen a single pundit go into any level of detail as to why England played differently against Belgium, and how a lack of certain attacking personnel contributed to the stylistic difference. But Rashford will run at the defence, they've said that enough.

Roy Keane is growing on me a bit due to how disinterested he is. He doesn't get sucked into the hype as much as the others and keeps more level headed. Aluko and Lampard have been good too.

Hoddle came out with a classic the other night. Said FIFA had missed a trick. Rather than positions been determined by yellow cards if all else was equal then the team who had beaten both of their opponents by the higher scores should go through. Is that not goal difference?

Yep and it had to be level along with goals scored and head to head for the yellow cards to apply. At least he didn't say that the team that had led better previous lives should go through.

Peak Glenda that.

Think he was referring to the highest goals in an individual game.

So, if both have 7 goals but 1 team scores 6 in one game and the other scores 5, the one with 6 should finish higher

Probably a better idea than "Fair Play", and less open to ridiculous (& potentially dangerous) scenarios where both teams are trying to get cards

Quite like Bilic's punditry, usually offers a fresh take on things instead of rewording what's already been said.

ITV's coverage is utter shite.

They just kill any tension and drama stone dead with their sodding ad breaks.

Not to mention their total lack of analysis of the game after the penalty shoot out.
