I think we are seeing how VAR can be used for fixing outcomes. No review of offside and detailed review of dubious handball. Not saying it is fixed but the decision of what to review and what not to review has decided this final so far

It's probably fixed here at the WC, but it will definitely be fixed in the PL.

Did it really take a deflection to hit his arm? I think it would’ve hit his hand anyway.

Correct. The system is totally flawed.

VAR - superficially desirable.
VAR in the W/C - overall, seems to be working well.
VAR in the near future - AI will eventually supplant referees.
Officiating in the distant future - AI will do it all.

Will the AI know the “professional foul” law?

He doesn’t need to play football to referee it and know the laws does he?
