Worry

I go through periods of being contented with my lot, happy with life and with a positive, confident spring in my step. Then the darkness comes and I worry about everyone and everything, become a bit of a hermit and despair how life is passing me by. Unfortunately I'm currently in the latter.

I get the last bit,i'm there as well x

Seriously:-

Everyone has worries of some sort or another, there's just different degrees.....one person might be worrying about what dress to wear for the Christmas office party, the other worrying about the triple heart bypass surgery their child is going to undertake tomorrow.

Firstly, under no circumstances bottle your worries up and keep them to yourself, big mistake......talk to anybody that will listen, even posters on here, and that includes Drone and Nimrod...:)

Secondly, if you have to worry, worry about things that have happened or will happen, not what MIGHT happen.

Thirdly, remember there is always someone worse of than yourself.......depression/anxiety is terrible, but it usually does pass...in time.....This might hopefully be useful:-

When I was a (not very good) Buddhist I didn't worry very much - the meditation exercises were excellent for disciplining the mind etc.

Unfortunately all the meditations required belief in re-incarnation and ultimately I couldn't convince myself that it was anything but bollocks.
