i forgot to add York city away night match lost 2 - 1 shit ground and to top it off we couldnt find our mini bus n got lost lol.


and lokeren was an awesome away trip apart from the coaches "just down the road mate"

about 2 miles down thiis road in pitch black lol remember that tank type thing with water canons and all kickin off in the corner the ground was full of city and we didnt even show our tickets going in lol pissing in the woods at half time LOL

Oxford .... at the picturesque Manor ground , a few years back (probably in the eighties) ...... a boring 0-0 draw ...... inadequate refreshments , and inadequate toilets full of stinkin' urine ....... pouring it down with rain all through the match ....... got absolutely drenched on that open end .

It meant saturated trousers for the long journey home!

But if 'worst' means hooligans ..... it just HAS to be Leeds away in the seventies ....... frighteningly unforgettable!

another- plymouth away late 80's. midweek, got all the way there only for it to be called off. well pissed off!

birmingham away last year. went on the coach which broke down on the motorway. so they sent a replacement bus which took about 45 minutes to arrive and then that one broke down as well!!! we eventually got to the game at half-time 1-0 down and ended up losing 3-1 because of a shit penalty decision!!!

Away at Reading a couple of seasons ago. Was a Monday night and I was working in Northampton so decided ot go down instead of watching it in the pub.

Set off in good time but there was a horrendous traffic jam coming off the M4 and was stuck for nearly two hours. Got there late and couldn't park and was 25 minutes late into the match, missing Reading's goal. It was a shit match, we lost and Corradi got sent off.

Coming out the traffic was at a standstill anyway and to make things even worse, the police were escorting a large load past the ground. Drove back and there were loads of roadworks on the motorways with the M40 being shut near Oxford. Had to come off, got lost and ended up getting home at about 1:30 in the morning.

I might be wrong but I'm sure it was dabo who got sent off for an elbow that game wasnt it?

I remember this because the ex had given me the elbow the day before.

Derby away. Mark Ward scored for us in the first few minutes and because our mini-bus driver drove us to Hillsborough instead of the BAseball grouns we missed it. Got to our seats just in time to see Dean Saunders get an equaliser. My first away trip too. Wigan 0-4 a few years ago is also up there.
