Worst ever night watching City?

The 0-5 at OT or the 0-4 at Palace in the League Cup Quarter Final.

Probably the Selhurst Park debacle as we had to endure the 5 hour car journey back home.

Worst for me was the 81 FA Cup replay against Spurs. The fact we`d played them off the pitch in the first match despite being heavy underdogs, only to lose the lead to a fluke goal set up a nervy replay I felt we`d surely lose. However, that feeling changed and as the game wore on I knew we were going to sneak it. Enter Ricky fookin Villa and the rest is history.

We lost 5-0 at the swamp; the Galway branch were meeting upstairs to watch the game, when the game was over had to walk through the pub full of rags to the car, my missus played a stormer frog marching me away from a certain kicking that night!
5 nil down and 30 mins left.only boro comes close.

should be a thread on games that need avenging.

There are a few to think of but worst ever has to be that 5-0 defeat by the rags. The Carling semi last year was bad enough but I have never ever felt as bad as I did after that 5-0.

I know I'll get slated for this by a lot on here but Brian Horton was in charge that night and I blame him for that defeat and have never liked him. And I have never understood why he became so popular with City fans especially after he left.

Getting thumped away at Stockport 4-1 is probably my worst, especially as my girfriend at the time had a brother and dad who were c*nty fans and rubbed it in again every time I went round. Kit Symons committed a foul first half and the blues were singing "off, off, off!!"

Losing 1-0 at home to Bury was another bad one, spitting feathers all the way home.

Although me and my old man fell out spectacularly away at West Brom, I think in the season we won the Championship with Keegan. We got humped and I forget the score but my old man, after us conceeding another, got up to leave and I shouted at him to support the team, about 5/10 mins later we conceeded another so I got up and he shouted at me for wanting to leave! We argued for a good five minutes, before watching the final few minutes in total silence, not a good drive home either.

City 4 Stretford 0, League Cup 1975. The announcement over the tannoy asking for Colin's family to contact a steward, and the realisation how serious his injury may be.

for a night match it has to be the 5nil at the swamp.not sure what i expected that night but i didn,t see that coming.humiliating.-1st time i.d sat down at there place and it seemed weird..loved the manic away terrace of the old derby days...but sitting down at the swamp watching city slowly get fucked was a nightmare...

Travelling down to spurs in the replay game a few years back,
3-0 down half time, barton mouthing and geting sent off.
That was my worst night....

BUT THEN, we all know the rest! it was also the best night watching city.

very surreal evening
