Hamburg quarter final of uefa cup
I was convinced we were going the Istanbul that year.the day in the shambles the atmosphere in shambles square and then the buzz walking to the ground convinced me even more that this what it city are back and I'm going Istanbul
Walking out at the end I felt so delfated I had witnessed city fuck up loads of times before relagations false dawns etc but this one really got to me. At theat point I thought that was it we'll never win anything
I dont know why but that one really got to me

Not the worst but a bad one was Kiev at home in the Europa. We should have beat the cheating b&*$rds, but didnt have enough to get past those cheats & the ref that gave us nothing.

I was gutted we were out because I thought the latter stages would have been good prep for the Champions League and I was gutted that Balo had self destructed. I said to my mate, if we get to the FA Cup final how can we trust this balloon! I was wrong & this defeat doesnt seem as bad now.....

The swamp for the carling cup. Seeing the vermin spitting on city fans over the side of the tier and a steward doing absolutely fuck all about it. Made me and my old man that sick that we went over to the steward. On the way out there were full on elderly men telling every steward how much of a disgrace they were. I hate every single part of that fucking club.

Too many to mention really over 40-odd years but that 3-0 hammering at White Hart Lane just before Hughes's sacking was especially hard to stomach, normally I shrug off defeats fairly quickly but I was seething for a good while after that match.

Arrogance, the whole, "nobody can touch us." mentality. Just wait until the trophies dry up, they'll get worse and worse.

losing 1-0 at home to Lincoln after losing the first leg 4-1,it really sunk in that night how far we had fallen and just how shit we really were

Blackpool at home (lost on Pens) in the cup (can`t remember if FA or League).
Dire, dire game.
Port Vale away. I think Kinkladze scored to put us 1-0 up. Got beat 3-1. This is when I realised we were going down to the old 3rd division.
Sadly I can remember me and my dad going to Ipswich in 1969 (I still have the programme). We got beat 2-1 (Doylie scored if memory serves). We`d beat the rags a few days before. This brought us back down to earth. How many times have City done this to us over the years?
Getting arrested at Wolves in 81 & Stoke in 82. Bastards.
Bringing it up to date - I was stunningly fucked off after going down 1-0 away at Villa last season. How we didn`t win that 1 still pisses me off as I`m typing.

Liverpool last season springs to mind.

For the talent in the team, we were shocking and I felt very very pissed off after that match, for some strange reason. I got used to being beaten by Liverpool alot in the 80's and 90's, but that game last season really got to me.
