Would Gareth Bale choose us or the Rags?

If they sold Shrek this summer and stumped up the cash... Who would Bale choose in your opinion?

You again....if not us, hopefully abroad and not to your lot.

I thought Bale to Real Madrid in the future was a (more or less) done deal?

Pretty much this.

There is no way on Earth Bale will be sold to another English club.

When the time is right for all parties (hopefully in a good few more seasons yet) Bale will be off to Madrid.

I think if we're all honest, you have to say that if any top player was offered the same deal by both clubs then they would choose Utd. We are still a way off being in the same bracket as clubs like Barca, Madrid and Utd. I think they stand alone at present in being any young lads dream club, above all others. Obviously the exception would be if you were a blue and you would sign for us in a heart beat.

Nasri didn't

I think united. He turned them down once however to join spurs for first team football.

He's a modest lad who doesn't seemed motivated by money. He is a proper athlete who wants to always improve. Even before joining spurs he spoke about wanting to go abroad and learn a different language as well

City and Chelsea can afford him but I think madrid is most likely. I think chelsea and city could offer double what real will, so that will get levys heart racing

He should stay at spurs forever though!!!!!!!!

as already pointed out, nasri didnt.

in addition you have to look at the uncertainty over the manager. I know the govan pisscan is trying hard to preserve his body with alcohol, but it wont work forever. changing manager is always a precarious time for any club.

Still waiting for him to have his Stephen Ireland moment and show the last couple of seasons have all been a bit of a one off, however that is now increasingly unlikely to happen.

Based on style of play I think he'd choose United and like a previous poster said, some players will choose them ahead of many teams, not just us. It'd be interesting to see if he will still play as good as he does now in a team which is expected to win trophies and which has the rotation policy Fergie uses. That could be when his Ireland moment arrives, but time will tell.

I thought United were 'sure fire' to get Ronaldo anyway? Can't see them affording or being able to use both, so if they do get Ron, I would imagine Bale would go to Madrid.

We'll have to settle for Falcao. ;-)

The current investigation regarding Madrid could have telling financial implications, so I reckon it isn't done and dusted just yet.
