NEW YORK FUCKIN CITY!!!!

Been a Blue since Tony Book was manager and Joe Corrigan was in goal!!!! try being a Blue before the internet and when there was hardly any TV coverage!!!

BTW I was the 2nd person ever to post on Bluemoon. The 1st was a Bulgarian lad, Evgeny!

NYC is great. Penn Station - they wash the apples for yer! Anyone bought an apple anywhere and got asked if yer wanted it washing! Jeez, that's service!

If they ate it and then shit out an apple crumble I might be impressed.

Doesn't make up for the fact that Penn Station is shit! I haven't posted in years and I came on to post just because you complimented that piece of trash! ;) Go through there every day on the way to work… Horrible design, confusing as all hell, overcrowded. To think it used to look like this!

We live in Shipley, West Yorkshire (yes, I know), and are SC holders inCBL3, but we have a house in Deltona FL, which we visit for two weeks twice a year, and we once watched City at the red Scouse (1-1) in the Mad Hatter, NYC.

Does that count?

rag. :)

-- Sat Dec 14, 2013 10:58 pm --

A little surprised that Americans from below the Mason Dixon line are self-identifying as Yanks.

I would point out that the attendance of the proud "Austin Reds" has been dwindling dramatically this year.

Quite a lot really. I grew up in Oklahoma and personally I don't like it much. However I realize on this board all of us fit the description. But I can tell you that most people that I deal with on a regular basis use the term Yankee as an insult.

Dad was an Evertonian. I've lived all over the place but in Dallas now. Lived and died for City since about the time The illegitimate Ryan Giggs took a corner on us and some dodgy paid-off ref gave them a crap penalty in a Cup match. Wiping out a 0-1 lead courtesy of the guy I took my user name from and an assist from the great Kinkladze.

Started following a bit before that, but that match kind of cemented everything for me. Just wanted to see the day when we could pay that lot back and then some. Never could have imagined what was in store (good and bad.)

You know, as to that last, I have a rag neighbour here in Dallas who used to have a "Manchester U____d "Texans" sticker on the back of his car. Said sticker has DISAPPEARED at some point within the past few months. Completely true story. They are a miserable, gutless, spineless bunch.

Can I just remind the forum that some of these lads often have to get up at daft o clock in the morning to watch the game, they may have to drive for miles and miles to watch the game with other Blues and for many just a single, solitary visit to the Etihad will be out of bounds if not for logistical reasons then financial.

For me, every single one of our American posters is as cool as the 70,000 who went to York away.

Someone bang up the Orson Welles gif for me.
