Would You Have Rafa?

He is (humourless), full of excuses, confrontational, plays dull as shit football, rotates far too much, doesn't give youth players a chance and is overly negative in his tactics and subs.

It's Rafa's thread, not Mancini's :)

Rafa takes the bold to much further depths

Not that Mancini even plays dull football, we're too slow at times but play some of the best football around when on form. Rafa, not so much. His plan is dull, stifling football

Further maybe, much further - I wouldn't agree. Rodwell for Tevez on Saturday, Dzeko in 91/92 minute at Stoke and on Saturday at negative results, or Lescott in attack are masterpieces Rafa probably couldn't deliver.

Pushing Yaya forward has worked on many occasions, so that's just having a go at RM for the sake of it.

You really think taking Aguero off for Dzeko when down to 10 men would have been wise?

Well, he is manager being paod 6-7 millions per year, it's expected to hit it sometimes.

Zabaleta was sent off in 84th minute, manager of extreme favorite team having fairly negative result doesn't wait 5 minutes to the end to make a change. I've mentioned Stoke game too when he introduced Dzeko im 92nd minute at 1:1. If that is not negative, I don't know what it is. Or when he sent Lescott in attack at West Ham and recently in some game too (can't recall which one it was).

There's really no ground to criticize Benitez about strange subs, he does them, yes, but nobody can produce a WTF moment as Mancini in that department.

Sunderland and QPR away. Just to add to the debate Rafa Benitez would not work well in the structure we are putting in place.

Not familiar with that so wouldn't debate it though he certainly had to deal with such structure when he was in Spain and he did fairly, fairly well too, at least result wise, not sure if they choked each other behind the scene :)

Just wanted to rubbish the approach to Benitez some of people have here that is clearly influenced (like many other things ironically) by rags media apparatus.

Calling a Champions League winner, Uefa Cup winner, soon probably Europa Cup winner, a man who won two La Liga titles with Valencia leaving El Clasico teams behind a shit manager is pathetic and clearly prejudice arsetalking without any ratio in it..

He will want complete control including the Academy and his last years at Liverpool doesn't inspire me with great confidence.
