Would you prefer to be s**t again?

I was asking a genuine question mate. Certainly among blues I go with that have been following City for a very long time there is a level of apathy towards where the club is heading off the pitch in terms of trying to get rid of its traditional fan base inplace of 'new' fans, it increasingly feels as though we are not wanted by City. If season ticket prices keep going up and more away tickets go to corporates it will get to the point where I can no longer watch the club I love. I completely understand the years we all suffered while we were going through the worst patch in our history and them ****s were winning everything but if the price of success is that you are forced out of your club to watch in the pub then is it really worth it? Genuine question: would you rather be successful but have to watch in the pub or be average and still be able to go the game with your mates and support your club?

This has been covered ad nauseum in other threads

Don't mind either way

I enjoy watching city now as much as I did when watching before the takeover

The only thing that has changed are my expectations

Before any win was celebrated and gave you that great couple of days of feeling all is well with the world

Now only wins against the top teams or winning a trophy give that same buzz

I feel exactly the same,I'm 46,but all I was saying was I understood what he was saying,I mean it might have been a bit bullshitty, but if the guy was in his 40's and didn't know who kinky was well it's a disgrace really

He probably knew who he was, just didn't recognise him 20 years on being twice the size.

This lad makes a few very good points for me. With the way the club's going regarding away tickets, pricing out local fans etc would you be happy if tomorrow Sheikh Mansour said he's selling us and we went back to the club we used to be? Genuinely not sure on my answer, really not liking the way the club is going.

No and in any case according to many of our lesser rivals none of us were here anyway?

Thought this a few times in the past, although in reality I wouldn't change where we are today there are things I miss. Like many I used to love seeing a youth team lad coming through to make the first team, the opportunity is still there but it is much tougher for them to break through. Also miss getting excited about the prospect of a Mido coming in to transform us.

Swindon '65 or Bury,Lincoln,York,Wycombe,Snackpot in the 1st & 2nd.

What was worse for me was the Pearce year in the CoMs. New ground, new beginning OLD SHITE.

Demoralising.

you mean when he gave us a period of stability and consolidation as apposed to yo-yo-ing down to the 2nd division and back again?
