Writing is on the wall

For Mancini Mario was probably like that annoying 20 year old son/daughter who you love dearly but want them to piss off and leave home to grow up. I want Mancini to stay long term and have seen nothing from our owners that suggest they are trigger happy.

Oh deary me, where to start with this crap..

Firstly not a chance on earth was Mario sold without Mancini sanctioning the move first, if you bothered to read and watch the comments they have both made it is clearly obvious. One Mario was desperate to go, and Two they sat down together and although Mancini wanted Mario to stay he agreed it was the right time for both Mario and the club.

By your "summer window" comment I'm presuming you mean the club didn't spend silly money on RVP... Pathetic..

So if we win the FA cup and finish second the club will sack Mancini?

Hahahaha you really are a drama queen.

Rightio, lets go..... How do you know Mario wasnt sold under Bobbys nose. It is not beyond the realms of possibility at all. If Sinclair was a Mancini signing then I'll be surprised. So if he isnt doing the buyiong who says he is doing all the selling. We have seen a lot of comings and goings at other teams that dont involve mannagers so why not at City? I don't think Bobby sanctioned the deal but he understood the reasons. If it was Aguerro he obviously wouldnt sanction it. Maybe that didnt happen but to dismiss it is stupid.

Nothing to do with RVP, just not being backed maybe as you would have thought.

As for the No league or fa cup - it was a question as to whether someone who thinks that Roberto will still be here if he finishes second and wins the cup - will he still be here finishing 2nd with no cup. Asking for someones opinion.

Jumped in with both feet didnt you.

There's a lot of confidence in Ferran and Txiki but what if they can't replicate what they did at barca? All this talk of 4-5 world class signings that they guarantee - we had world class targets last year and look how that went (no doubt first to be blamed will be the guy who managed to sign yaya aguero and silva). Plus La Masia dealt with Spanish or at least Spanish speaking players who wanted to be in Spain.

If Messi had come through our academy about 8 years ago would he still be here now? People on here moan consistently about Garcia, Rodwell and Sinclair but as back-up goes they're textbook barca signings - either young and experienced or young home growns.

It's a remarkably exciting project but I hope it isn't as Barca-lite as often reported and I really hope it doesn't cost us a manager who was won in the league in two of Europe's top three or four countries.

Er, johnmc, this from 2 days ago. Mancini sanctioned the sale, Mario's last interview on the OS also confirms this:

http://www.goal.com/en-za/news/4682...o-milan-move?source=breakingnews&ICID=HP_HL_5

"They are very close (to an agreement) and we are also so sad because Mario was an important player for us," Mancini told reporters.

"With Mario we won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Charity Shield. He's a fantastic player, but for him, this could be an important chance to come back to Italy and play for a top club like Milan and I hope he can continue to improve because he can become one of the best players in the world.

"It's difficult for me because I lost one striker and that could be important in the next 14 games.

"It is important for Mario to go back to Italy. It could be a good chance for him to stay with his family and to play for Milan. He can improve and I am happy for him. He can be one of the best players in the world."

Sorry bud.

What has that got to do with the topic at hand.

I will have you a bet, loser pays £50 to charity and believe me I will be happy to lose it. If we win nothing (again hopefully this doesnt happen) then Bobby will not be our manager next season. You on?

What else was Mancini supposed to say ? Of course he's going to say he sanctioned the sale. Funny though that two weeks ago he was saying it was impossible he could lose a player when he only had 18. The truth is that Mario's sale had nothing to do with Mancini. Nothing whatsoever. The club decided way back in September/October Mario could go once their price was met.
