Xgorton has citycard news

It was only a matter of time before the club charged to be an official member. The cost of maintaining and "backing up" a database with the details of every person who's ever been to a game (so had an Accesscard) must have been colossal.

The club aren't too bothered about giving fans a free Accesscard when they only go to one game every year. It costs the club money to send out e-mails and texts to these fans and administer the data.
By getting a tenner/£25 off members, they automatically get buy in from the people who will be purchasing match tickets on a regular basis.

Anyone moaning about shelling out a tenner needs to wind their neck in (in my opinion!). Yes, it was free - when you had the pleasure of watching world beaters like Samaras, Bischoff and Sibierski.
i am sick of hearing this excuse everytime anyone isnt happy with something so the club can charge what they want treat fans however they want somebody has the audacity to disagree and gets told its ok because we used to have samaras now we have tevez seems to be the stock.answer for everything .

Now the new "Blue" card has been announced is it worth the £15 extra to get priority on tickets or should I stick with the standard £10 card ?

How much priority do you get?

I don't see the problem.
I did pay £25 last season for a CityCard so if I was using one next season I'd be paying the same.

Accesscard users may be disgruntled for paying £10 but this is a small fee to pay for a full season, it probably just covers admin costs for the club.

as for the membership name.... This is rather amusing.
What, the people who don't get a seasoncard are now Blue?
as in they are down in the dumps, depressed.

Hi, I'm Blue :( :( :( :(

Last season it ´was a bit of a joke, you could always get tickets on general sale, but if you like sitting in the south stand you might consider the extra 15 quid as tickets there generally sell out before going on general sale.

If you go for the home ticket priority, how early are we going to be able buy tickets? They have'nt really explained that part, they just want the £15 extra without even telling ya..

No, the stock answer is that the club are charging to be a member to cover the costs of that membership - maintaining the database, the cost of printing the cards, posting the cards, pay the administrators wages etc.

You get nothing in life for free.

The reference to Sibierski and Samaras was that you get what you pay for. You are now paying to watch some of the world's elite players rather than run of the mill sh*te. The clubs running expenses (salaries) will have gone up massively over the past 3-4 years and as such, the club need to raise additional revenue to balance the books. Would you prefer the club went under so you can have a freebie?

the £2 booking fee per ticket should cover all that

Also is this just for adults ? Will the kids be ok with their live4city cards or do I need to fork out money for them also so as they can go games ? ..

It'll have worked out cheaper to get seasoncards at this rate ....

Good question. Does anybody know if Live4City will continue?

Agreed...what a load of fucking shit.

He missed out the following:

We could easily be back at York away
We're not watching an Alan Ball side anymore
We could easily have Macken, Dabo and Samaras back in our squad

It's so cliched it's untrue and it's something what really grinds my gears.

There's several posters on here that do this.
