If you go for the home ticket priority, how early are we going to be able buy tickets? They have'nt really explained that part, they just want the £15 extra without even telling ya..

I agree, I'm member of SC so not sure if I should even bother with this as get my tickets through that

EVERY member of our branch has to have a Citycard or a Season ticket, although i am not sure what the colours will be this season, but i expect that £25 will be withdrawn from my account by the time we next meet.

We are same mate, every member must have at least a Citycard to get tickets, if I order through them why do I need to pay extra money to get priority

tbh i think it will put people off
it was fine charging £2 for the accesscard. the club wants to make money but they have to understand that were not there yet in terms of demand. when we start winning things on a consistant basis and people are struggling to get a ticket, then is the time to start charging for memberships.

prem games and perhaps champions league games might be sell outs and perhaps the thinking might be that a priority membership might be of benefit in those cases, but we will probably struggle to fill the ground in the fa and league cup. i think anybody new and not a regular attender that might want to attend these cheaper home games might feel a little put out at the prospect of having to shell out a tenner before they can buy a ticket. you have to remember that not everyone can afford to watch city on a regular basis and especially if you have a few kids that also want to go along.
that means mum, dad and two kids at £40 before the price of a ticket, if they only attend a couple of games per season each they might not be able to justify the extra outlet. and moreso if this is every season.

hopefully if i have anything wrong someone will correct me

They're covering the cost of the membership and trying to put off the 1-2 games a season fans who cost the club money.

Hahahaha

Do me a favour!
You've taken what I said/meant out of context.
I'm not going to waste anyone's time by re-writing the point I was trying to make.

All I'll add is that it appears the club would prefer a slightly smaller membership base of fans wanting to go to 10-12 games a season, rather than every City fan in the country having an Accesscard and some of them only using it now and again.

I had the £25 city card last year but was just going to stick with the access card this year as every home game last season went on general sale to access card holders.
Not going to bother at all this year
It's going to be about 50 quid a seat then they want u to pay for membership to sit in crap seats too.
That's 5 of us not bothering to renew . I can see it being difficult for city to sell out this season who wants to pay to be a member with no real benefits an the way we were disregarded for the semi and final last season
Sorry city not this year

I feel a bit like that to be honest. The last few seasons i've hardly seen the point having a Citycard - I'm not moaning btw but you're always one step short of getting a ticket that matters and one step ahead of people who end up buying on general sale most of the time anyway, you accept that if you're not stumping up hundreds up front but I don't see a lot of difference between the memberships and probably won't pay the £15 extra.

Given that the club must keep and maintain this , in your view, highly expensive database of fans/customers, whether the '2 games a season' mob are on it or not, how can you assume that it would make huge cost/time savings by removing this (probably limited, maybe not) group.

Is someone sitting there, totting up the figures, shrieking "If we remove this 30% of people from our database we are going to save a huge chunk of money as we won't have to send them one of those shite, misdirected mailshots every 6 months or send them the odd email"?

What huge costs savings could realistically be made by trimming a database of fans by a small (or even large for that matter) number. It's not like they have to feed suitcases of £50 notes into the computer every time they want to run a search of their database or add another person's details.

Every pricing decision made in the last two years under Garry Cook has been made purely to maximise the revenue and reach the optimum level of squeeze on their wallets without bursting them.

I would have a large amount on this being the same rationale and nothing to do with bizarre gigantic costs associated with holding the details of customers.

If you are referring to the cost of producing and dispatching the cards, they would be more than covered by the fan attending a single game. Given the number of games with empty seats last season (even using the pumped up official attendance figures) it would be idiotic to turn away even the '1 game a season' fan.

Having just ordered a Blue Membership and paid for the "priority booking" option I contacted the club about what will happen with regard to Live 4 City membership. I received the response that the Live 4 City sceme has now been scrapped and the cards should be cut up. If I want my children to attend games with me they too will have to join the Blue Membership for £25 each.

Anyone heard anything different about junior membership or has it all been scrapped now?

Felt like that after final as well, have renewed Blue with priority as can't be member of SC without it
