Yaya - a time to cash in?

Re: Yaya - a time to cash in

People need to stop judging our (top class) players on last seasons performances. EVERYONE (bar Zab) was shit last season, Mancini's fault.

Flogging one of our best and most influential players just as we get a new manager is fucking idiocy.

And the OP's quote of Yaya being 'a jack of all trades, master of none' is one of the most stupid things I've ever read on here (and that really is saying something) and I hope to fuck it's a wind up because otherwise words fail me. Yaya is one of the most complete footballers I've ever seen

you are right Al, well mostly. yaya is world class but to stay in that bracket he needs to get to his best asap. to sell him now would be plain crazy. I am looking forward to see him without the shackles mancini put on him.

My reasoned input is this...

Have a fu#king word with yourself

A time to cash in??? Sure...if we're short of money and need a few quid to stay afloat.

Let me put it another way...

'Man United sign Yaya Toure"

How would that headline make you feel on a Monday morning!?

I'm sure fuc#in Duncan Jones and Zinedine Cleverley would be delighted

Some people!......

Imagine

"Chelsea sign Yaya Touré"

^^Suicide^^

Re: Yaya - a time to cash in

You do know the MEN read these forums - this afternoon's headline will be ...

Inside Sources: City Looking to Offload Yaya!

Jeesh!

We shouldn't sell and we won't. He's a titan on his day. When he's having an off game it can show but only because of how good he really is.

Definitely going to put the cat amongst the pigeons with this one.

I think we are in a perfect position to sell him and aquire a specialised player like kondogbia or gundogan. I know most people will be like, he's our best player, he's a beast, he won us the fa cup and the title.

However let me paint another picture, he's a jack of all trades but a master of none whose value is only going to decrease parallel to his stamina. Yes when he runs at defences he's frightening, but that won't be his job next season, and as a defensive player I find him very lazy and petulant at times. There is no doubt he's been a hero for us but I think now is a time we think of whole team dynamics and I can't help think, he could be a possible weak link, especially with his stamina and tendencies to go missing even tho he was alledgly pro Mancini.

So cash in or keep?

HOW very dare you have your own opinion!!!!!?????
are you mad? you should know thats not allowed here!
i agree though, i can't count how many times he really really anoyed me in the FA cup final vs wigan! he does maybe one scary run per game then falls over and sits there for ten mins!

Some valid points there mate. I think it will be Pelegrini's job to utilize him in the team so we benefit the most from his abilities. I just hope he will start looking like he is really interested to play. Due to his massive presence and ability to brush the opposition away I will say ... keep him.

he quite simply wasnt motivated last season. Yaya's performances are not down to fitness, skill, talent, age or anything. They are simply down to drive and effort. If he fancies turning it on he can but unfortunately last season he wasnt motivated to. He was bordering on sulking. I put that down to a strict, tedious camp where fun and happiness was a no no. Pelligrini deserves his chance to get the best out of Yaya and a number of other players. Who knows, Pelligrini could teach Kolorov how to defend and run, improve Dzeko's first touch, make Nasri give a shit and god knows what else.
