Yaya - a time to cash in?

People who think we should let Yaya go should perhaps remember how much we missed him when he was away at the ACON. He is a vital asset who, like Vinny has now committed to the club on a long term contract. His presence under the right management will drive the club forward so I think we should be building a team around Yaya rather than consider letting him go.

I agree.

Also I don't think we realise as fans what a poor man manager Mancini was. Great for us fans and he brought us success etc. However it's now obvious he had lost the dressing room and players struggled to motivate themselves for him.

I'm sure we will see vast improvements in not only Yaya next season but in quite a few others. I looking forward to seeing a Samir Nasri play at a level that made us buy him from Arsenal in the first place.

OP You are a complete Idiot!

If you were in charge of City,id bet you would Sell Kun,Silva,Vinny etc

Go see a Doctor!

he quite simply wasnt motivated last season. Yaya's performances are not down to fitness, skill, talent, age or anything. They are simply down to drive and effort.

Sorry, but you know this exactly how? Yaya told you? he's your friend, relative, agent?

If he fancies turning it on he can but unfortunately last season he wasnt motivated to. He was bordering on sulking. I put that down to a strict, tedious camp where fun and happiness was a no no.

Never seen so much BS in one post. ya that strict, tedious and miserable camp tell us more? was it just Yaya?? cos Zaba, Clichy, Tevez, Milner and Naty were in top form and always give 100% whenever on the pitch.

To be one of the best; Self motivation and the DESIRE to succeed must comes from within you first and not from any external source, a coach can improve your quality and performances, only mediocre seek motivation, Yaya is one of the best.

Pelligrini deserves his chance to get the best out of Yaya and a number of other players. Who knows, Pelligrini could teach Kolorov how to defend and run, improve Dzeko's first touch, make Nasri give a shit and god knows what else.
Ya PellEgrini can improve a 27 year old first touch? is that even possible? I'm learning

To even consider selling yaya Is crazy in my eyes he's such a big player for us. Last season wasent his best like a lot of other players. I'm for one sure he will back this season better then ever, plus I doubt he will play every game for us so he will be a lot more fresher when he does play..

He signed a new contract last month.

Since when did that matter?

Eh? So we're going to give yaya toure a new contract and then sell him a month later?
Has to be a wind up
Contracts mean very little in football. A lot of the time a player is offered a new contract so that when the club sell him they can ask for more money from the buying club. That exact thing happened with CRonaldo at United and also with Adam Johnson with us.
