Yaya-Keep or Sell?

If we can get a fee for Yaya then great. Won everything he could domestically at City and will always have fond memories of his time at City. Goals from midfield he should of been the best player in the World just lacked the drive to do that and to be classed with Ronaldo and Messi over the years.

The Yaya situation is an interesting one, the common view being that he will leave this summer, but if he does it will be on our terms.

On the other hand If Pep wants Yaya to stay, that will be because Pep has a role in mind for him. If Yaya is determined to stay but isn't given any assurances then we will have a motivated player determined to prove Pep wrong.

In the past we have relied on Yaya. That won't be the case this season, should we bring in our top targets. I'm not convinced Yaya's powers have waned as much as last season indicated... especially if he is played in his correct position.

If we do sell Yaya his huge wages become freed up for incoming players. I see it as a win win situation.

And what do you consider his correct position to be, especially as Pep will introduce a high intensity game plan to what has been a lacklustre squad last season?

In Pep's system... I have no idea! I don't have a clue how we'll line up under Pep, it's part of the intrigue and I'm looking forward to seeing what he does. I agree though, that high intensity will be a feature, as it is with all Pep teams.

My point was more that if Pep wants Yaya to stay he will have a position in mind for him. What is clear is from this season is that position is certainly not central midfield in a 442 formation.
