You must admit though that it's a little odd to register on a City forum, admit that you're not a City fan but refuse to say who you support, and then continually criticise City players. So far, Toure, Sane and Otamendi have all been singled out by you.

My money is on a Spurs fan.

Go on lad, tell us,unless you are embarrassed to do so of course, curiosity is killing me here,I have my suspicions who he could be,but I want to be amused,go on,tell us it's S****horpe or Rotherham then we can all relax

At this point, I've been asked who I support, I replied with a fairly reasonable question of "Why do you ask?" to which the response has been for me to be told that I'm talking bollocks and told that I'm wumming/trolling because I'm not being open about who I support.

Doesn't really seem like the best move is to back down to this stuff at present I'm afraid. I'd rather just try to discuss the issue I brought up about Toure because it seems I haven't explained it that well. Someone seemed to think I was expecting Toure to simultaneously mark Eriksen and Son which I assure you was not the case!

It is an observation you have made, and it is your opinion, but it was to humour us in telling us who your team is,I mean you may not support one team in particular, but you have joined a City forum, admitted almost straight away that you are not a City fan, again as the rules state,is allowed, but to hide your colours is a bit strange really, all fingers do point at Spurs,as mentioned earlier,is it really that bad a team you can't admit it ? I'm guessing your team,if you have one that is,would have far superior players than Toure in their side ?

Dont bother asking him questions he has thus far shown a cunning strategy of avoiding them completely and then acting the victim. I'd wager he won't last much longer.

On topic I think we should offer him a 1 year more and significantly lower wages but with a slightly bigger loyalty payout as a thanks and don't let the door hit your Arse on the way out. For all the posturing both he and we have done recently to his credit he's stopped, lost weigh and muzzled his agent and apologised. Whilst we should never forget I feel we can always forgive

But you seem to me to be creating a straw man argument. I didn't ever say that Toure is utter shite. I stated my opinion of his decision that I feel, if he'd made a different decision, the goal was preventable. I'm sorry if you don't want to discuss in game decision making, it happens to interest me and I hope it will help me to be a better player.

I think that my points are coherent. I think that Toure should mark Eriksen in the first phase and that could block the attack, keep Kolarov in position etc. After that, as Son makes his run Toure should at least try to keep on him.

I don't accept that I slated Toure. I asked the question because I'm interested in how good Man City fans think Delph and Fernando are if they're fit. I'm failing to see a problem there.

There's certainly no strawman.
My comparison to Lloris is an indication of why it's dangerous to use highlights without context.

With regards Toure marking or tracking Eriksson in the first phase, he forces him into a crowd of no fewer than three players. So I don't buy that.
Then for Son. Toure is stood in the perfect position to cut a ball out from Eriksson to Son if Eriksson plays that ball. Either by design or fluke he picked out Kane who's lovely touch created the goal. It's not five a side, you don't and can't always mark all men.
When Eriksson is in possession between 3 City players, Kane, Son, Rose and Ali are all wanting the ball. Toure is covering 2 of those, Zabaleta has Ali, and Kane's route to goal is blocked. So for me Toure is in the perfect deep lying position one where 9 out of 10 he intercepts the ball.

As for Fernando or Delph, both have both been out a while, Delph for effectively 2 years. Neither have the intelligence or ball retension skills required for a midfield 3 of Silva, De Bruyne & Toure. A midfield 3 that played Spurs off the park.
That's why an opinion based on highlights is bollocks.

I think he will be shown the door in the summer myself mate, but will never be forgotten

But I didn't hide anything. I asked why the question was posed and the aforementioned points were made and rebutted. If I were a Man City supporter I would be balancing Toure's attributes against his deficiencies at this stage in his career, relative to the available competition. He could own games in the middle of the park all day long as much as he wanted, but if his errors cost more points than his good play won, I'd happily point them out regardless of any bias.

I can confirm that Toure, Sane and Otamendi are all far above most people in football terms, myself included, and they have the bank balances and trophies to show for it. Criticism of their mistakes is what comes with that.
