Yaya Toure apologises

Yaya was never very charismatic - even when he was playing a blinder. So I never liked him for being "likeable". I liked him for being effective.

I'm not impressed with him at the moment though - because when he played a bit this season he looked as slow as his worst last year. I'm not offended by him having a dickhead agent though.

Off the pitch stuff never bothered me much as most of the things you read are devised by drama queens. I prefer to form my opinions from what I see on the pitch.

Same here. Agree with every word of that. It appears that we're in a very exclusive club on here. However, the people I go to the matches with aren't that bothered about off the field antics either. Don't get me wrong they don't like the agent, but none of us actually care that much.

So am I. However, difference is that I won't go slating and name calling anyone who thinks he should be binned, but I do have problems with some people rewriting his importance to the club's success - hopefully that's an exclusive club as well! Heard a Blue (?) on the radio last week saying that he couldn't count on one hand the number of MOTM performances Yaya had put in since he's been at the club (!). He also spouted the go to 'he's just lazy' one as well - love that one, as if Yaya was ever, even at his imperious best, a box to box midfielder.

I've said on here a few times that I don't believe the club has handled this well, but that's down to them, and absolutely fuck all to do with me - but I'm entitled to view my opinion.

Seeing as you keep repeating your position Malg then I'll repeat I think the club have played a blinder here. And you're very naïve if you think City didn't make it clear to Toure in the summer that he wouldn't be getting the game time he wanted.

Of course we did , hence Seluk repeatedly claiming in the press over the last 12 month that Yaya is very committed to City and that he wants to fight for his place, a claim that was ramped up when we confirmed Pep and he had no doubt been told to find his client a new club.
