Great idea. And while we're at it, let's dust down the following banners:

City are more important than Argentina

Get your hair cut

Don't duck in the wall

Run a bit more Edin

We want Mancini back

Where's your sick note, sick note

That'll tell 'em.

Yeah yeah we get it. You have pious contempt for Blues. You've made your point.

Contempt for those who viciously abuse our players.
What about those who think no player is bigger than our club? I know you don't like the idea of the banner but how do you honestly feel about people who believe that to be the case?

I think you'll find I said the only thing the media have carried is the portrayal of how bizzare the story is; that Yaya and his agent have become laughing stocks and they only have themselves to blame for that. To different extents of course.

I also said that it's not unfair for those to claim that Yaya isn't ignorant to the situation.

Again, I only disagree with your notion that the media is making things worse; Seluk and Yaya have made this what it is, again to different extents. I'm not saying "sell Yaya/he's a ****/let's burn him", I agree that we should wait for the full story. I just believe that people are entitled to their opinion based on the events that have actually transpired over the past two days.

You've gone off on a tangent of double talk for no reason, as you're debating irrelevant points in this discussion.

My message is clear, media will sensationalized, spice and manulpilate the story to make it more attractive and my advice is that we should wait and see and not rely on what the media is saying.
There is no need to comment on who is going of topic because my message has been there for all too read, forget the mainstream media, wait for tangible news about Yaya's future. If you want to make conclusions and blame Yaya for whatever reason or trigger then it is your right and inclination
Again, I'm not.

You merely seem to be projecting so I'll leave it at that.
Yes, absolutely, based on what have been said so far by me, it is a reasonable to conclude that
I actually blame Yaya.OK sure.

Anyways as I said, let's all wait and see, we have our website, pr and so on and I will rely on them on real news that affects the club and not the sensationalist and fundermentally false media. Hopefully all this is sorted sooner than later so that everybody knows where they stand. I ll prefer him to stay but football is funny like that but the key is that we should all wait, don't worry, don't call names or blame Yaya just yet until it is all..on the table...then we can let loose but hopefully it won't come to that and the club and Yaya sort out whatever is going on.

'Viciously abuse'? Oh the humanity.

Re: Yaya Toure

I don't know about others, but from me it'll always be the polite cheer for Yaya from now on, like it was Tevez after Munichgate. Fans never loved Tevez as much after that, I wonder if it'll be the same with Yaya.

Shifting the blame on to the agent is convenient, but ignores that they are so close that Yaya ignored Kolo's advice to take Seluk's and named a child after Seluk. And Yaya has repeatedly said he trusts him 100%.

On the football pitch, it's still for the best that we keep Yaya, though. He's the heartbeat of our system.

Re: Yaya Toure

Yaya wants to go right now

Yaya wants to stay forever

Yaya wants cake

Yaya needs cake

This has been brilliant.

See you next season Yaya ..... you're still the best player I've ever seen in a City shirt.

TO THE REGIMENT!!!!!!!!!!

What about those that abuse them in a considered fashion?

Nobody minds considered criticism.

But how often has Yaya Toure been called a c*nt on these pages. Seriously, how depressing is that? And why are more of us not objecting? I'm a lifelong City fan and find this stuff really difficult to understand.

Maybe this is a cultural thing and I live in a part of the world where that sort of vile abuse is not acceptable. I am angry at the fans on this thread abusing Yaya Toure. And more of us bloody well should be.

I feel his agent is taking the piss and that they're trying to hold the club to ransom, and bend over for Yaya, which is wrong. It doesn't work like this in life, you have to earn your spot.

A minimum requirement for me now is his agent has to be fucked off permanently if he wants to stay, I won't be happy otherwise and I won't be happy if City bow to any of his demands, if he wants respect he earns it, if he wants admiration he earns it, if he wants a coaching role he earns it, this is petulance and immaturity of the highest order and I hope City see right through him.

But it does work like this in life. You fight your corner and much as I may think his agent has done Yaya no favours in terms of making Yaya look a bit of a tit you can't deny his tactics haven't worked. Right now the world and his dog know the saga of Yaya and his 'unhappiness' and City are in a position where they have to sit down with Yaya and smooth this over - presumably by showering Yaya with gifts and pouring honeyed words in his shell like. In short Yaya wants to feel the love and Khaldoon to present him with falcons on his birthday, you know a bit like his 'Qatari friends'

So why on earth would Yaya get rid of the guy whose sole purpose in life is to say what Yaya is to polite to say and consequently get exactly what Yaya wants?

Especially when it works.

I've stayed out of this as much as possible because I've still got next to no idea what's going on, but people are far too quick to forget what Yaya has done for us.

He won us the FA Cup with two huge goals at Wembley, he won us the title with two crucial goals away to Newcastle, he scored the greatest goal I've seen live in a stadium to get us back in the League Cup final and his return to the squad this spring rejuvenated our title chase.

All of a sudden, a crazy story leaked by his agent and a few tweets later - the source of which absolutely none of us are aware of - Yaya Toure is public enemy number one. Why? Because the story has been allowed to fester and boil.

This has been a very poorly managed attempt at getting a better contract before he retires and nothing more. He's not threatened to leave, his only mistake was letting his agent grab hold of every microphone within touching distance.

We forgave Tevez despite the fact he abandoned us for 6 months after falling out with Mancini, we can surely forgive Yaya Toure. The first few games back will be difficult and there will be teething problems but we'll all get over it.

I think we should just laugh at this bizarre situation! If he stays, then great! I see a new celebration when Yaya scores, scoffing of cake and singing happy birthday....... Humble pie anyone?

Re: Yaya Toure

Lol @ coaching role. This is getting out of hand. Are they taking the piss ? Our sponsors are not liking this situation. The club have to sort this shit out right away.

Next we will be hearing that his twitter account was hacked!

Personally, I don't know why footballers have these nonsensical twitter accounts. I agree that there are aspects to it that is addicting for the stars such as the idea of being followed by millions but it is really a ticking timebomb.

Yaya is also very quick to forget what we have done for him.

When we brought him here, he was a Barca bench warmer. The media and pundits alike ridiculed us for spending what we did on him. Some sports presenters didn't even know who he was.
Fast forward a couple of years and they certainly know who he is now, in fact everyone knows.
Last year you couldn't got out on the piss in any town or city in the country without bumping into a gang of piss heads singing the Yaya song, and these weren't even football fans let alone blues.
It's even sang in bars across Europe and seems to have taken a life of it's own as a drinking song for students/piss heads/teenagers or anyone else who just fancies a bounce around to a catchy tune when they're out enjoying themselves. A song born at the Etihad, about a player who many said was overpriced.
We turned him from a defensive mid, who was only known in football circles, into the world class player he is today. A player who is known around the world and not just by football fans. Everyone knows who he is and that is because he plays for Manchester City.

He owes us just as much as we owe him.
