Re: Yaya Toure

Not entirely sure doing TV interviews is the best idea considering recent events, but oh well, let the club deal with it.

He is dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't.

1) If he said staying at city that would have basically shown his agent up for what he is and brought discredit on Toure for backing him earlier.

2) If he says I won't be at city then he would cause a major rift between him and club and given he has three years left on a contract he only signed last year that could affect his position.

By being non committal it does nothing other than bides him more time to think which way he wants to play it, I read he was schedulled for a meeting with Khaldoon so maybe if he has had that Khaldoon has told him to keep stum, 7 weeks is a long time in football by the time he comes back hopefully cakegate will be forgotten.

This.

It's not as bad as Suarez or Rooney and they ended up staying.

You don't know for sure he is.
So why not call off the lynch mob until you know just what the fuck is going on?
The way some of you are lining up to slate one of our key players based on Chinese whispers is frankly disgraceful.

I simple explanation and a pledge to City wasn't too much to ask for I think. Again, I take his silence as a sign of him wanting out. Why would the club instruct him NOT to say anything which could settle the storm a bit?

He has got my back up as he did the same last year.
The others don't do this just him
He has been disrespectful to everyone
Of course i want him to stay but i find it harder to like him personally

There only appears to be a storm in the mind of posters on the internet

One way to clear up Chinese whispers, whispers of which he must undoubtedly be aware.

Is it fuck Chinese whispers.

He had the chance to kill it dead and chose his personal interests.

He's a cock. And he will stay a cock whether he plays for us or someone else next season.

He's just been on television and when asked about his future, and what he would like to say to City fans, all he said was "I will make a statement after the world cup" whilst taking time out from his busy focusing schedule to be a pundit for the CL final..

How very gracious of him.

He is indeed "carrying on this rubbish"

He's contracted to us for the next 3 years so a simple statement such as 'I'd like to stay here' even if secretly he wants out would've been nice. He's just condemned his club fans to a summer of wondering about his place in our team, I'd rather he be clear so we can either get his replacement or stop wondering.

I would interpret that as "well I will see if I get a better offer from another club then decide"
Mercenary approach in my view.
i would sit him in the stiffs if we can afford to.

As you said he is contracted to the club he leaves with the clubs say so

So give us a scenario whereas the conduct of his agent and himself isn't a ploy to get a bigger wage or move, he is a key player and i would hate to lose him but it doesn't mean he has acted in a decent manner, he is a typical modern day footballer and we are entitled to comment on someone who is acting like a daft prick, as a constant contributor to the failings of others i can only presume you are more willing to show a bit of leniency towards those who are able to kick a round object around a field better than most

Exactly my point. And he must very well know how negative a "I will make a statement after the world cup" statement will be received by us fans.

He's also being disrespectful in terms of allowing the club to plan for his possible departure and sourcing a replacement. Unless of course the club already knows.

Anything new or shall i come back at page 450?

I'd come back in August if I were you mate, by which time this thread will make War And Peace look like a sheet of A4.
I just can't wait to see how some folk react if Yaya stays, then scores a hat trick in front of the Stretford End.
Then kisses the badge.
Their emotional and mental gymnastics will be a joy to behold.
They would probably still be trying to work out exactly how they feel on the way home.

He would still be a cnut........
See this thread has had a sudden jump and i don't have to wait until page 450, what's going on? Has he commited or not or is he still playing silly buggers?

Errrr, well................

Utter ****. Fuck him.

With you pal. One of the best to ever pull on a sky blue shirt, but I am amazed he has allowed this to blossom in to the full on festival of bollocks he has so soon after one of the happiest days of any City fans life.

He could have nipped this shit in the bud sharpish or at least explained himself but this 'after the WC' shite is a joke. For that, he will always be a **** IMO - with us next season or not.

Frankly I don't give a fuck if he gets your back up and you don't like him.
Football isn't a personality contest.
He is a great player, and I would rather this storm in a teacup was resolved and he stayed at my club.

Re: Yaya Toure

Ivory Coast plays their last group gaem in WC on 24th of June, so exactly one month until that.

Also their group is hardly very strong so they could go trough without surprises.

No way the club would have to wait to hear some bad news 4-5 more weeks, and potentially miss this time looking for a replacement and negotiate it until that if Yaya's would live after all.

Not even mentioning the fans...

Yaya is well aware of this and has the power to resolve it, but clearly won't. Why?
