There only appears to be a storm in the mind of posters on the internet
He's contracted to us for the next 3 years so a simple statement such as 'I'd like to stay here' even if secretly he wants out would've been nice. He's just condemned his club fans to a summer of wondering about his place in our team, I'd rather he be clear so we can either get his replacement or stop wondering.

Exactly my point. And he must very well know how negative a "I will make a statement after the world cup" statement will be received by us fans.

Depends on your mindset I guess

Anything new or shall i come back at page 450?

I'd come back in August if I were you mate, by which time this thread will make War And Peace look like a sheet of A4.
I just can't wait to see how some folk react if Yaya stays, then scores a hat trick in front of the Stretford End.
Then kisses the badge.
Their emotional and mental gymnastics will be a joy to behold.
They would probably still be trying to work out exactly how they feel on the way home.

He would still be a cnut........

Errrr, well................
See this thread has had a sudden jump and i don't have to wait until page 450, whats going on? Has he commited or is he still playing silly buggers?

You don't know for sure he is.
So why not call off the lynch mob until you know just what the fuck is going on?
The way some of you are lining up to slate one of our key players based on Chinese whispers is frankly disgraceful.

He has got my back up as he did the same last year.
The others don't do this just him
He has been disrespectful to everyone
Of course i want him to stay but i find it harder to like him personally

Frankly I don't give a fuck if he gets your back up and you don't like him.
Football isn't a personality contest.
He is a great player, and I would rather this storm in a teacup was resolved and he stayed at my club.
You ever thought people may not give a fuck what you would rather he did?

Platt summed him up when talking about players being on the bench and said that away at Norwich Mancini had Yaya to start from the bench and Yaya told the then manager "with Xavi and Iniesta, I can start from the bench, here I start."

He thinks he is doing us a favour.

Guess so, and whether you base your opinion on hopes or facts.

Doesn't want to talk about his future before the WC, after that he will grace us with a statement.

yes i saw that ....well at the time he was bought....he was a key key signing....but at this stage now...he doesn't want to stay...he can go right off

Re: Yaya Toure

Really,who cares?

Yaya is just a modern-day footballer who wants to earn as much money as possible. Just like the rest of them and just like all of us would be given the chance. It just so happens he has a a particlularly gobby agent and has had a great end of season. If he stays, he will continue to give his all for us (for the money) and if he goes, he will give his all for the club who gave him more money. If that happens I would wish him well and thanks for some great memories.

Personally,I think we should cash in on him now whilst he commands a decent fee (and next season is ACON). I reckon Manuel wouldnt be too upset. Yaya is a fantastic player and MP has utilised him to great effect but I think, ultimately we want a midfleid that presses the oppostion at all times which isn't amongst Yaya's strengths.

I think it is important to like them

Fetlocks is just being a **** for the hell of it, the scenario is quite simple, Ya Ya is being a dick, but it is in our interests for him to stay, he will win us games of football and nowadays fans will accept this see also Rooney, Suarez and Tevez as examples, most fans are clever enough to appreciate a footballers ability but not take them as individuals to their heart

In the years to come The Zab's and Kompany's of this world will hold a special place in our hearts, whatever happens with Toure we will always accept he was a hell of a player

My 6 foot 4 uncle lives near there, he will do both for a tenner.

Re: Yaya Toure

At the end of the day, Yaya is doing what he's doing because his agent is telling him to do so. Sure, we all agree that his agent is a Grade A moron, but he's doing it because he thinks that his agent knows better than he does what to do. Let's face it, if any of us were involved in a court case, and our lawyer told us "whatever you do, do not release a statement because it could destroy your defence" you would do as they said.

Your right, and Toure would agree with you as that's the reason he is supposedly unhappy, as he feels people don't like/respect him, which they obviously do. He's doing more damage to his own name. rather than ours, with his/his agents daft comments.
