Re: Yaya Toure

The thing that sticks in the craw is the pathetic and cowardly excuse given to manufacture a move away (if it's true). If he'd had the bollocks to say something like, "I feel I have done all I can for the club and wish to give it one last shot in another league. I respect the owners, my teammates and fans and have loved my time here, but I feel the time is right for me to move on..." etc. then, although we'd be gutted, we'd probably say fair enough. It seems though that players have to create a load of shit, via their agent, because they, pardon the pun, want to have their fucking cake and eat it.

"Because of the brilliant season Man City have had, everybody is talking about me and everything is open.
"My agent, Dimitri, is always on the phone and he knows what he has to do because I trust him a lot.
"We don't know tomorrow, but my focus is on the World Cup and at the end of the World Cup we will see what happens."

hmm. sure it happens everywhere but feels like it could only happen to us. either way, yaya is coming across increasingly as a bit of a tw*t now as much as that pains me to say.
That's a much more accurate version of events.

He's considering his options - big deal. So does everyone. Especially when you're one of the best players in the world and you're 31

The agent has made his client look ridiculous. There are ways of going around things

Re: Yaya Toure

The real slap in the face as a City fan who has worshiped him and sang his name so many times, is this leaving it to after the World Cup nonsense. We deserve answers now and shouldn't have to wait 2 months. Sort it out Yaya, if you're going to be a massive twat at least hand in a transfer request.

It'll be hell for Yaya if he stays in this country. He'll be taunted with "Yaya is a baby! Yaya is a baby!" wherever he goes.
Sound hellish.

How will he cope? Maybe the club can hire some specialist help to get him through it.

Re: Yaya Toure

I just don't see the big deal about it. Maybe it's me as I'm getting older however I don't give a fuck what happens. We've just won the league and we have the best owner in world football. If he decides he wants to go we'll get absolute top whack, circa £50mil, for an ageing player. We are going to spend net £50mil anyway, plus whatever we bring in from outgoings so if he goes we will replace him. Of course there are no players the same as Yaya but we'll get over it, we'd have to do so at some point anyway.

What will be, will be.
