Re: Yaya Toure

I read somewhere that apparently behind the scenes Seluk is saying that Yaya wants parity with Rooney as the highest paid player in the league. Good luck with that one!

I didn't realise all this was said, must have missed it. Is there a transcript of the interview?
That was his agent.

Yaya has backed his agent by his silence and the i'll tell you when I am ready stance
I'm never going to live in a world where a player should be held accountable for an agent going over the top in his statements. Football agents are an ugly breed and if we're holding out for angelic football agents or intelligent self-representing footballers or intelligent footballers who've got a leash on their agents, we might as well give up now. Silva and Kompany acted like tossers last year by saying they'll leave unless Mancini is sacked, yet, we've managed to get over it and sing their praises.

Re: Yaya Toure

I wonder how many City shirts/merchandise is sold that has Toure Yaya on it, as a percentage of all sales?

Re: Yaya Toure

The Toure camp are not currently handling themselves in a seemly manner but Yaya is the best player in the Premier League, IMO, and it would not be out of the ordinary for them to try and exploit that.

City can choose to stay quiet and dignified and play hard ball with a player who has three years left on his contract.

This is the second year running he has pulled this shit and when you are asked on a live tv interview to reassure the fans and you refuse, well he can fuck off.To do this a couple of days after winning the league and everyone being on a high is disgusting and mercenary is the only word for it

Re: Yaya Toure

Seeing as he has expressed a wish to join the coaching staff maybe the next three years spent with the kids will give him time to reflect on things he has said.

Weren't you a Mancini fan?

Re: Yaya Toure

However Yaya and his wanker of an agent dress this up it is about money. The day Rooney signed his £300k a week contract the other big players were always going to try it on.

We can't give in otherwise the likes of Kompany, Aguero and silva will expect parity.

What has that got to do with yaya's behaviour?
Stay on topic,we do not need another mancini debate

That is a weak argument skash.
Bayern and Dortmund never seem to have this hassle with players
.

Just because others put up with petulant prima donna's does not mean we should or need nor have to.

Gotze, Lewandowski, Kagawa, Sahin and now Kroos at Bayern.

Re: Yaya Toure

I think he's off why else would you make a statement after the world cup not to say you're staying big loss but no player is irreplaceable!

The problem is that if the case is that privately what Seluk is saying to City is that Yaya wants to be better paid - then it makes his original interview with the Sun even more offensive because of the comments about Sheikhs trying to buy relationships.

To be honest in the greater scheme of things I don't really care what happens. If he stays and performs like he has done in the last 12 months wonderful. If he goes then I trust Txiki and co to know what they're doing in terms of replacements. If it was my call though and there was a seriously interested party, I'd do the deal and fuck him off without thinking twice.

Re: Yaya Toure

The only thing that worries me about all this, is if we keep a player who is so unhappy with his lot,
next season is going to be fucking light years away from the performances of last season.
We all know only too well, what a de-motivated Yaya produces. Will he also poison the dressing room.

Just to add, I want him to stay. I just hope he WANTS to stay and perform at his best.

Re: Yaya Toure

I haven't still worked out what is his real problem or beef with the club etc etc. In normal life he does his job and gets paid and anything more such as praise etc is a bonus. What does he fucking want?
