I'm genuinely not arsed what happens anymore

Stays - great we keep a fantastic footballer

Goes - we get rid of someone that is becoming a bit of a problem child, gives us the funds to go and look at Barkley, Pogba, Fabregas etc

After reading a few hundred pages on here i for one no longer care what happens, feels a lot like the FFP situation

This ^^^

Statement after the world cup Yaya? Stop being a mardarse and either fuck off now or commit to MCFC in the next week. We don't hold all the cards, we need the huge fee that we will get for him in order to buy someone of the required quality in this transfer window (due the the FFP cap), but the right attitude.
Barcelona will not build a team around him, he won't like getting splinters in his arse every other week going back there.

Re: Yaya Toure

haha, they just ripped into him on BBC World Service no less.

"African star earning $375.000 per week feels unloved. Poor sensitive soul."

Re: Yaya Toure

I think I understand the situation now. He feels that his stock has gone to all time high, him and his agent think they can get a 300k deal somewhere else, maybe PSG or Monaco. He doesn't want to be portrayed as a greedy bastard so he makes up stuff about being snubbed on his birthday. They should have been more creative. Nobody is going to believe that he wants to leave because he was snubbed on his birthday. Dimitry is a clown and Toure is a clown.

I'm just so glad he has three years left on his contract. We are in complete control my dear blues. He either apologises or we make him play with the EDS.

Re: Yaya Toure

I've tried to take a balanced view of this and hoped there may be some for of innocent - or at least if not innocent, then more palatable - explanation as far as Yaya is concerned.

But as the tock keeps ticking, that's more and more difficult to do. As it stands, it's extremely difficult to see how Yaya himself has not been an absolute tosser in some way or another.

He must have known his agent was going to say this kind of stuff, and his agent obvious was told the birthday cake stories by Yaya in the first place. Yaya can see all the aggro its caused hence his first reconciliatory tweets.

And after the tosser of a manager ups the ante with further tweets and the most ridiculous SSN interview I think I have ever heard, Yaya says and does nothing.

He's either directly responsible for it, or deeply complicit in it. Either way, this is a HUGE lack of judgement on his part, that ultimately he is going to regret very very deeply.
