Those comments came out a few hours after Seluks (milder comments) they were used to douse the flames after Yaya had got what he wanted from the club. They were much cleverer back then than they have been this time, They've got cocky and overestimated their importance to this club. Or we are on the front foot and have bigger plans and want to cash in on him while we can. Our Spanish duo have seen this before and moved him on - perhaps if they can get circa €70m for him they see it as good business. We (including me) have all assumed Yaya's agent started all this - perhaps he didn't perhaps Yaya and his agent picked up that we were touting Yaya to the highest bidder and that's why they kicked off. I have no idea if any of this could be true but I think there may be more at play than we first thought - particularly the way Yaya has played us in the past when we had no choice but to give in to him - perhaps now the shoe ( or boot) is on the other foot!

It's no coincidence that Yaya has gone to Qatar to get fit. Please! And while he's been there he's been talking to the Qataris and PSG officials.

I would tell the Qataris and PSG where to go. I would also make Yaya honour his contract. Sheikh Mansour and City don't need the money. And City certainly don't need to strengthen a CL rival.

If Paris came knocking for Toure City would have them over a barrel when it comes to the fee and I suspect judging by what they've paid for Luiz that they'd happily oblige.

I love Yaya as much as anyone and am extremely grateful for the service he has given us and the defining moments of which he has made a key contribution. I am also very angered and let down by YaYa's recent behaviour. The ideal ending would be Yaya to say he has been a complete fool , didn't mean to cause such offence and knuckles down to see out the rest of his contract without the need for an improved or extended contract. The only positive in this situation is that it is PSG sniffing around and not Barca. We all know Barca (who aren't even interested !) would tug at his heart strings and force a move at a lower price. We've already seen with PSG buying Luiz , Silva , Cavani et al that PSG just go and offer a ridiculous sum. With YaYas stock being so high at the moment this could easily see an offer in excess of £50m which I'd bite their hand off for in the present circumstances. Yaya will lose a lot of his potency when he loses that injection of pace he has which could be over the next 18 months , I don't think YaYa has the application , concentration etc to drop back to centre half so it could be the time to sell if any offer is massively in our favour.

I think we could get a shocking fee for him from Paris if we were smart. Three years left, his stock is at it's highest now and signing him would be a big statement from them. I'd say £60m if not abit more even at 31.

Don't get me wrong mate, this is clearly something we could have done without, but we never do things the easy way at City, and this is just the rollercoaster taking a dip, before it rockets skywards again.
Let's look at this pragmatically, leaving out the hysteria factor.
Yaya stays, we win more silverware, everyone's happy.
Yaya leaves, we replace him, we win more silverware, everyone's happy.
We've seen far worse crises than this at the club, and we're still here.

I said something similar about fifty pages back, this thing only makes sense if you look for the bits which are obviously missing. The agent's comments sound more like a reaction to what had or was already happening, and he made a complete hash of it because he's a tool. Its also likely that the club were ready for it all to kick off and had strategies in place. Maybe they turned/edited/skewed the story, got to the press first, or maybe didn't need to do anything but sit back and laugh because Seluk did their job for them.

There's no reason this has to be black and white, good guy/ bad guy, both the Yaya camp and the club could be 'in the wrong' to some degree, and at the same time be doing nothing wrong as ther're just doing their jobs. If the club have decided they want Yaya out/ playing less/disrupting the dressing room less or whatever, they would, could and should take the necessary steps, even if some may see them as being unfair. On the other hand, if Yaya's camp got wind of this they would, could and should try to react in a way thats going to protect what they think is in his best interests, be it threaten to leave/insist the team are worse without him and so on.

If the above happened in any way at all, then the fact that Seluk is an idiot explains his incoherent outburst, and the fact the club think they have the upper hand explains their silence. All that seems to get discussed is the tabloid headlines because they are embarressing, but they aren't the real story as far as I can see.
